It really is dead in here. Might as well go watch Ramsey and Gino lol.
Whats the situation with fuel at your ends? The whole country has lost the plot. Shell and BP franchises at my end our selling petrol nearly at 150 per litre. I guess This Is England lol.
Some ******** posted a pic on twitter selling petrol in Plastic bag from the boot of his car. Seriously thinking of going EV route next year.

I'm waiting for the new Airpods to launch, then I'm buying them and the Belkin 3 in 1. I do like the look of that.

Can confirm the Belkin is a boss

A bank is not going to reverse a payment.

Also, they can’t, as they just can’t access someone else’s bank account.

I don’t believe there’s a single case out there of a bank transfer getting reversed.

If someone’s account has been “hacked”, then the bank will of course investigate, but that won’t affect the recipient of the money, unless, they are then able to prove they were somehow involved, in which case the police have powers to seize the funds.

Plus (not aimed at you specifically), but I switch off the moment someone says Trust me.
I mean I don’t really want to get into a massive debate/argument over it, but I’m not talking about reversal of a payment, more if the ‘buyer’ states fraud has occurred. Basically if the buyer contacts his/her bank and says fraud has been committed, they will investigate as you say, and IF the money can be clawed back (for example they can prove fraud) - it will be. Only way it won’t be is if the account it emptied. In this instance I doubt it would be.

Again in instances like this the person receiving the money MAY have their account frozen (probably temporarily) until the investigation is complete. They’d likely have to submit all kinds of evidence - chat logs etc. It’s not a nice process.

Like I say I used to work in the fraud dept for a high street bank. Also go read the MSE forums about bank accounts being closed for no reasons because someone linked to fraudulent activity has sent them money.

Ultimately, you do you. Me personally for such a high amount I’d steer well clear.

BUT don’t tell people bank transfers are 100% safe - they aren’t. Don’t get me wrong if you’ve done nothing wrong then you SHOULD be ok, but only after the actions above have been carried out.

P.s you can trust me on that!

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Rebuy this year for selling their phone to. I know a number of people including myself used them last year to sell our iPhone 11’s. They send a courier over to pick up your phone.

Last year I got the like new value for my 11 Pro Max. Their values for the 512GB 12 Pro Max is £738 for like new and £600 for very good condition. If I can’t sell mine privately I might take a chance with them and see if I can get the like new value which I would be happy with.
I did. Got decent price paid out very quickly last year and used them again this year.

Set up “sale” on Friday, DPD collected Sunday, receipt acknowledged today, they requested ID/proof of purchase today, I provided that and full payment is expected tomorrow.

<EDIT - Added screenshot of confirmation email>

Just looking at my card statements. I’m on the upgrade programme and upgraded on Friday (24th). It looks like the £69 upfront fee showed up yesterday but it’s also showing that I paid a monthly direct debit yesterday for £61ish which is what my iPhone 12 payment was.

Surely that loan was paid off on Friday (and I have an email stating that) so I shouldn’t be charged for it this month?!

The value of the loan pay off included the payment that was due out on the Monday - I was in the same position. The e-mail from Barclays regarding your new loan includes a line about "the loan was settled as long as no direct debit payments are returned by your bank".

Whilst our upgrade day was the 24th, the payments come out a couple of days later so you needed the payment that came out after the upgrade to make the 11 payments required to upgrade.

Hope that helps/makes sense.

Ive been putting it off but had to go fill up the wife's car yesterday as it had hit reserve and she needs it to get to work. Had to drive for a while to find a pump where it wasn't a huge inconvenience to others to queue (hate those idiots who queue onto main roads etc and end up blocking all traffic!!).
Managed to fill up (although had to use premium fuel instead of the normal stuff) then had to take a longer drive home to avoid all petrol stations and the traffic around them!!
Hopefully her tank will now keep her going for 2 weeks or so!

My car is also on the last quarter - but its a second car really (I walk to work luckily). Hence I don't really need to fill that up until things have settled a little.....soon I hope!

I really wanted to get this, but the price......for a charger.....its just a little too much for my liking!!

Vodafone still selling phones ? 😮

When I was a university student, the voda cell tower near me would go down every time it rained!!
It got to the point where I would plan on not having my phone for a few days if rain was scheduled as I knew it would go down.
Each time I rang vodafone. Each time it took 2-3 days to work again.
Got sick of that and left Vodafone as soon as my contract was up and never used them again!!

Caved in after hours last night abs ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Graphite 256gb from Carphone Warehouse. Delivery states 5th October + £600 trade in for my 12 Pro Max.

Anyone dropped their iPhone yet lol.

My iPhone decided to take a tumble last night 😮

I left it face down on the sofa and it some how slipped and fell side ways and then face down on laminate floor. All in all a 30 cm drop. My heart was in my mouth but all was fine.
