They are NOT 100% safe. Did you bother to read any of what I put above. As I said, you keep doing you, if you want to keep arguing then crack on with someone else pal, lets leave it at that.
Edit: The link you put it up is the opposite way around and actually validates my point, that is for people MAKING the payment, not receiving it. Its actually in the bold headline:
Online banking customers who slip up and make wrong payments to get more help clawing their money back
I think you need to do some more research pal before wrongly telling people they are safe accepting bank transfers.
Yes but this is incorrect payments, not confirmed fraud. I have never once said banks can reverse payments.Payments cannot be automatically reversed.
What the article is suggesting is that the bank will help to try get your money back, but if the recipient resists it they cannot just take the money back.
I am also of the opinion that a bank payment/transfer is pretty much final. Yes you can try to claim, but these often fail since the recipient bank/user can just deny the request unless there is evidence to suggest a clear wrongdoing.
From article:
"The banks can’t automatically reverse the transfer because it would allow anyone who had bought something to haul back the payment after receiving their goods.
The new code, which is being incorporated next month by Lloyds, HSBC, Nationwide, Barclays, Santander, the Co-operative Bank and NatWest among others, will mean that as soon as someone tells their bank they have made a mistake with a payment, they will act within two working days.
If the bank cannot reclaim the funds immediately, for example if the person who receives the funds resists giving the money back, it will investigate further and report the outcome back to the customer within 20 working days.
However the new rules do not guarantee that you will get your money back if you make an incorrect payment. People are still being warned to ‘check before you click’ when transferring cash."
But I have never once said banks can reverse payments lol, I said they can claw back in fraudulent situationsThere is only one way to test all of yous bank transfer theories.
Every member of this thread send me £10 each and then request your bank to recall the monies. And if they refuse to do so then ahem ahem that means ill keep all of the money 😁.
Same here. I got my eyes on Dark Cherry Wallet even when my Baltic Blue Wallet is in excellent condition and does not need replacing.I keep looking for accessories for my iPhone now - even though I dont need any!!! lol
Waiting for my Magsafe charger to arrive (from Amazon where its cheaper) along with a heavy base for it to fit in to. I bet I only use it a few times then give it to the wife or kids once the novelty wears off! lol
Anyone had an issue with DND on their Watch.
DND turned off on iPhone as per schedule but not on Watch this morning.
....I'm not seeing this?!Yes, same thing happening to me every morning since iOS 15/Watch OS 8!

And yes, I'm still on the 'wiping and trying to keep handset clean/dust free' phase too........

Its very easy? although I did have an issue with my iPhone X in one of the stores.Well, just listed my iPhone 12 on AV Forums, lets see what kind of response I get (none on FB Market Place yet - they're all just a bunch of time wasters on there 🙄🥱 )....

You’re right. I just spoke to Barclays and they confirmed the September payment was requested before Apple paid off the balance, and that was the 11th monthly instalment. The value of the loan pay off included the payment that was due out on the Monday - I was in the same position. The e-mail from Barclays regarding your new loan includes a line about "the loan was settled as long as no direct debit payments are returned by your bank".
Whilst our upgrade day was the 24th, the payments come out a couple of days later so you needed the payment that came out after the upgrade to make the 11 payments required to upgrade.
Hope that helps/makes sense.
Unfortunately not this time. It was my 11th payment which is required as per the conditions of the iUP.You’ll likely get that back but reach out to Barclays. If you account is in credit they should refund it back no issues
