Just wanted to check something. People who’re facing issues with unlocking the phone with their watch, do you guys see this error?

Interestingly I had no issues setting up this with mine. Difference I think was that I did a clean install and not from backup or phone to phone transfer.

Oh God, I'm the same... it's not even a phase if last year is anything to go by! I'm on my 5th Apple Silicone case in just over a week, my brain is like "it's only 50 quid, I can manage that (although I agree it's expensive!) but I don't seem to register that the little pile I've developed is now £250 worth...

I am a regular case swapper so I've no fear they'll get their use, I think I've fallen in love with the way the Blue Abyss looks with my graphite so I should be done for now... ...or at least for this season of cases.... but ... I think I want the blue abyss sport strap for my watch as well...

Great reading Argos coming through with the quoted prices so far. Will have surprised many of us (me included) and will be a good option next year. That’s if they haven’t clocked in and reduce prices… but given its Argos, they’ll probably miss the opportunity

Just also extended my Argos price (£519) for another 7 days til 7th October (original quote expires today/tomorrow).

I think what benefited us was that they didn’t reduce their prices until quite late, so many of us locked in a good price before they did. My iPhone went from £494 to £380!

I’m sending to Argos today. I didn’t stick their barcode to the envelope but I did include the coupon ID on the reverse of the parcel. I included the full original label inside the parcel complete with barcode.

I did a phone to phone transfer and mine works fine. Though I was helping a colleague set their new iPhone and watch up and theirs wouldn’t work.

I bought that charger when it first came out and promptly returned it. The cable is really short and I think only one meter long. It’s also fixed so you can’t replace it with a longer one. You’d have to use a male to female USB adapter and another USB cable to extend it which IMO is not practical or ideal.

over the years I have bought at least 20 glass screen protectors off amazon. The latest one I got attracts so much dust on the surface (this is after 1 hour). See photo. Seems I get one of these every couple of years. Any one know the reason why? Is it a difervent coating on the protectors that does this?

I’ve bought plenty £2 ones that never did this !

Not sure if this has already been posted by anyone else who tried it as I've not kept up with the thread for the past week, but I thought this might be useful for anyone trying to use MusicMagpie's Smart Kiosks next year.
I completed my order with them on the 8th Sept (for a price I'd saved on the 7th before the announcement date was released, so they seem to retain the saved price as the price through to when you complete as checking the price on the 8th it had already dropped).
With an order date of the 8th, even if the 8th were day 1, 21 days to get to them would have seen me through to today (28th), however when i went to my local kiosk on Sunday (26th) i was told by the machine that they were offering me a reduced price (£160 less!) as i was over 21 days from the order (even though there's no way the 26th was 21 days from the 8th). Contacting their customer support returned a message that it must reach their warehouse within 21 days. i did try to ask them to confirm the last date i could have got it to the kiosk to meet that 21 window (on the 8th when i placed the order), but they of course skirted round that. So they must add an unknown number of days (at least 3) from arriving at the kiosk to get to the warehouse.
Id taken this approach as i had hoped it would mean i could get the pre announcement price without any gap from having to send the 12 off early. Next year i might try and save the pre announcement price, for part of the 14 days they save that offer and complete the order later and see if that price sticks, then use the kiosk say 15 days or whatever from that (once the new phone arrives and ive made sure all transfers over ok etc).
A bit annoying that they don't state a defined time to kiosk window, but i know i was trying to push it for my own benefit. Hoping eBay have another reduced fees weekend soon, then it'll go on there and hopefully get me more than the MM offer anyway.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with clear cases - the only positive I can see is that they allow you to see the colour of your phone but other than that, most end up going yellow over the course of a year and they are ALL fingerprint magnets.

Its a personal preference. Some do fair better then others when it comes to yellowing. That said similarly other types of cases also suffer from wear and tear especially the leather cases. At least the polycarbonate/PVC ones can be washed. Personally l like seeing and showing off the colour of the phone.

Otherwise why does everyone make such a fuss about the colour in the first place. I only keep my phone for a year and upgrade every year. In the mean time if the case goes yellow they’re cheap enough you can just buy another one. I only but one clear case for my phone and that’s it unlike a lot of other people who buy multiple cases anyway. 🤔

Not from o2, but from Apple. I've already got the case and charger but no phone 😄 Hopefully it'll arrive by the end of this week (4th-11th slot but hoping it'll be earlier than that).

Totally agree with you. Not a fan of clear cases myself. Makes £1000 device looks tacky lol.

Again no offence but the silicon cases in my opinion make the phones look tacky. I wouldn’t say the same about the clear cases. That’s just my opinion though and people are obviously free to uses whatever cases they want. 😃👍

I think you took my comments the wrong way. I too make a fuss about the colour and the colour of the phone is important to me. That’s the main reason I use a clear case. I personally don’t like going without a case so as an ideal solution for me I use a clear case. There is nothing wrong in going without a case or indeed using a silicone or leather case. Everyone has their own likes and personal preferences. I was just explaining the reasoning behind using a clear case and that I’m happy with them.
