This is great news :D. I remember back in the day, I am talking 2005/2006 tracking my new white macbook from China via UPS. Seems like only the Americans get that these days.

The phones tend to become trackable once there in the uk distribution centre in Hinckley. You’ll get more details on courier when they get allocated and leave there.

Pretty sure my MacBook (built to order) in 2019 shipped and tracked from china. Seems those custom order do still

My card has just been charged and my order has changed to preparing to ship!

Now I’ve got to get a new eSIM in preparation. I wish they’d just let you just scan the existing one to transfer it over.

There’s a shortage of postmen where I live so we don’t get post for weeks on end, we have to go down to the delivery office to collect it if we want our post urgently (‘urgently’ meaning within a month of it being posted) - the delivery office is only open for about 2 hours a day.

So I’m going to have to get to an O2 store to pick one up if I actually want to use my new phone any time soon!

On EE you can just download the eSim from the My EE app. Check if the O2 app has a similar feature.

I just got this. Love it but it doesn’t charge the phone? Which one are you on about?

Ok. Thanks. Not sure it’s worth returning for the charging one or not? Both would have the charging cable dangling down. Will have a think.

It's going to charge faster via wired charging than wireless so I'd consider how you want your phone to charge in the car. Do you want to plug it only when it needs a charge or would you prefer it to always be topping up when you put it on the holder? For the former stick with the system you have, for the latter swap it out for the charging one...

How is the holder itself in the car vent - is it quite stable and does it hold the phone strongly ?
I'm impressed with how strong it holds on to the vents. Didn't think it'd suit my car but you can twist it in all directions. I've not been out in the car yet so don't know how much it bobs around.. Anyway, I've packed it all up now to return and ordered the one that allows you to charge the phone.

From what I can see you can use the charging one unplugged anyway? They are both similar. I guess if you're on the road a lot (I'm not) the charging one would be best.

Ah it unplugs via the cradle rather than the socket... Yeah then no brainer to get the charging one and unplug/plug as necessary.
