….think I may go for the ESR Halolock mount at £28.99 which also charges the phone. 👍🏼

This one does, according to the blurb.

ESR HaloLock Magnetic Wireless Car Charger, Fast Charging, Compatible with MagSafe Car Charger, Air Vent Mount Compatible with iPhone 13/13 Pro/13 mini/13 Pro Max/12/12 Pro/12 mini/12 Pro Max, Black

Ok. Thanks. Not sure it’s worth returning for the charging one or not? Both would have the charging cable dangling down. Will have a think.

I'm impressed with how strong it holds on to the vents. Didn't think it'd suit my car but you can twist it in all directions. I've not been out in the car yet so don't know how much it bobs around.. Anyway, I've packed it all up now to return and ordered the one that allows you to charge the phone.

.....just reading the reviews on Amazon on this and its a very mixed bag 😕

People saying it doesn't hold the phone strong enough and/or the bracket which actually holds the phone is only held in place by a very tiny screw.

This is a very common issue caused by overtightening the ball mount at the rear :

Hmm, decisions......🤔

The magnet seems very strong to me. I'd try it and if you have any problems just return it.

On EE you can just download the eSim from the My EE app. Check if the O2 app has a similar feature.

With O2 you have to get a physical bit of paper with a QR code on it. Which kind of defeats the object. I thought the whole idea was that it was all electronic and I just assumed they’d be able to email you a new SIM.

Anyway, I just went into an O2 store to get one. The guy got one out then went to scan it, so I stopped him and asked if he scanned it would it then stop my existing eSIM from working? He said he didn’t know, so just gave me it without registering it or scanning it.

So when I get my phone on Monday it might or might not work with the online SIM swap process depending on whether he should have registered it to my account or not.

At least now I have a tiny blue envelope with a QR code in it though…

I have reserved a Pro phone for pickup at apple tommorow theough the iup reserve site.

Does anyone know if I could just pay through the standard barclays loan instead of iUp ?

It'll work fine. I did a SIM swap for my 13 Pro Max and was just given the piece of paper.

Just follow steps 1 and 2 and you'll be fine.
