I don’t have any experience with the official Apple one but I do have this Anker magnetic portable battery pack. I don’t it will give a full charge to a Pro Max but it does give quite a high percentage. It’s fairly small and would probably fit in a pocket. It’s a good thing to have if you urgently need to get some charge into your phone and don’t have access to a power outlet.

Anker Magnetic Wireless Portable Charger, PowerCore Magnetic 5K Wireless 5,000mAh Power Bank with USB-C Cable, Design for iPhone 13/13 Pro/13 Pro Max /13 Mini /12/12 Pro/12 Pro Max/12 Mini (Black)

I’m a fan of the Anker battery packs, but I honestly can’t see the point of a wireless one when usually a decent pd pack will charge your phone much quicker. I usually have one or two when out on day walks, especially on my own.

.....because if you don't remove the wallet from the phone, the contactless reader will pick up the card in your wallet AND the card you have for Apple Pay on your phone at the same time resulting in 'card clash'.

Ah the wallet is RFID resistant. So I think it’ll work fine. Actually that’s a good point, I’ll try it out today and see what happens.

Those beats fit pro are pretty tempting. Having to use aftermarket wing tips on my airpod pros at the moment when exercising to keep the fit tight. It’s a pain to keep adding them and removing again to charge.

I’ll wait and see what a 2022 pro update brings and see!

So I received my feeble returns pack today from EE/Likewise to use to send back my Apple Watch (S4) and yep, its the same sized idiotic padded envelope that Likewise use for the phone - its barley big or padded enough to protect anything..?!! ?

I'm wondering if I should just use my original watch packaging (yes, I still have it!!) as that will give 100% better protection than the stupid envelope I received today....!!

Same boat for sending my 11 Pro. I'd be downright scared to used the provided packaging, totally inadequate.

I found an old XS Max leather case box, ripped out the innards, and put my 11 Pro in the provided jiffy, into the XS Max leather case box, then into a larger jiffy. Much better!

....well - seems like this thread is coming to an end what with less than one post a day.
?
Now that's just asking for trouble... :p

Actually, I had just popped in to report that eBay sales have started to appear. Quite a few are from people with little or no previous feedback, and some have Buy It Now prices higher than the list price. Most seem to be 'Opened - never used' sales or auctions.

It will keep going a bit longer, just less active…
Black Friday is just around the corner, and I tend to get good tips on SIM only deals in this yearly iPhone thread

Besides AirPods Pro was are some good wireless earphones for the 13 Pro Max in terms of good fit (use at the gym) and decent sound quality?

My wife lost her AirPod Pros so I’ve given her mine (she travels to work and back and I am currently WFH). This has left me earphone-less. Very tempted by the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros at £139.99… reviews seem very good. The only thing stopping me from ordering them is I found that the Pros fit perfectly in the tiny pocket in my jeans (making them always on my person without much thought) - the Liberty 3 Pros case looks much larger.

I’ve recently acquired some Bose Soundsport Free. The sound is fantastic and they are perfect for exercising. I run in mine and once they are in you can just forget about them, they have a really solid fit.

I think there might be a newer version out now but they look pretty much the same.

Interestingly I had these and sold them, I found (for small ears) the fit wasn’t great and something in the silicon really irritated my ears!

the beats fit pro seems like a good alternative to the AirPods pros. the ear hooks useful for gym/activity use.

looks like a 2022 UK release though!?

This beauty came in post yesterday in proper Apple packaging.
