Not really take a lot of photos but I do download a lot of music from Apple Music and podcasts from Overcast

How much are you currently using? I had a 64gb XS before and was hitting around 50gb used. So this time around I went with the 128gb as there’s plenty of headroom there - on my new one I’ve actually only used 45gb (so far) because I set up from new and therefore a bunch of stuff I didn’t need or use didn’t get re-downloaded.

I went for the Sierra Blue but if it was out of stock I would have got the Silver hands down. Lovely colour.

Yeah blue was my first choice. The silver was my back-up colour if I didn’t like the ‘halo’ colour Apple introduced. I don’t think I’ll get a black/grey etc. phone again

I remember getting a gold phone when I got my 6 Plus or 6S Plus and I totally regretted it. I wasn’t keen on gold at all and it’s my least favourite colour in phones. I’ve been getting silver most years since until last year when I got the Pacific Blue which I loved and the Sierra Blue this year. Last year’s Pacific Blue is still my favourite and as much as I like the Sierra Blue I wish Apple had kept the Pacific Blue.

By the way anyone interested both John Lewis and Amazon have dropped the price of the AirPods Pro with MagSafe to £199 now. I had bought the non MagSafe versions for £189 but hadn’t even opened them so I am returning them as for £10 more I rather have the MagSafe option.

Re my O2/eSIM (that they physically send to you on a bit of card) comments earlier in the thread. I couldn’t take the terrible congested network anymore and, even though I have to pay £211 early termination charges for my O2 contract, moved to Vodafone.

It couldn’t be more different. I signed up online and had the eSIM emailed to me in a password locked .PDF file within 30 seconds. I was literally on their network within 30 seconds of submitting the order. Apple Watch was on within about 2 minutes. Good signal, good speeds on 3G and 4G and I’ve had 5G in a few places so far. Number ported within 24hrs with no issues.

My only problem was getting my PAC code out of O2 because their systems were down.

I spotted an unlimited deal that was 50p cheaper than O2 (including Watch) and had none of their silly speed caps. So went for it.

The moral of the story is, if you live in the Southampton/New Forest area - don’t touch O2 with a barge pole!
