Thanks. My concern is that Barclays might be fussy plus I assume apple trade-in doesn’t give the best price? So I think I’ll pay my current loan off end of this month then there should be no issues.
Indeed. It's stressful enough on pre-order day so knowing you're more likely to be accepted by Barclays is a relief.

Apple's trade-in values aren't the highest, however I find it useful that I can use the trade-in device to bring the overall cost per month right down, which I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of value on.

My 13 Pro Max was £25.79 a month for 24 months after I traded my 12 Pro Max in against it with Apple on Barclays finance. The full value each month would normally be £47.87, where additional payments only bring the end date forward rather than lowering subsequent payment amounts.

I went with option 3 for the 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max. I paid off the loan separately and in less than a day, Apple's system recognised the trade-in device no longer had finance against it.
this will most often be the best 'value' as you will get a better trade in price from the likes of Music Magpie and others over what Apple offers.

also, remember if you took out apple care, you can then get money back on that (if you paid up front in full for the cover)

the good thing now is for the last few year being able to pre-auth the finance a few days prior to the release of the phone... pretty sure you could start the pre-auth with Barclays later in the evening after the release event!

That's right. I remember the US had the ability for years to pre-approve for their respective iPhone Upgrade "Program".

This will be really handy for me this year where I want to go back on Barclays finance and my wife just wants to hand Apple all her cash straight out...

I’m like your wife. I want to pay outright and not worry about device payments.

Little help please.

How can you tell if device is covered by Apple Care? Does it show in support app? Applecare Services with white red logo?
