Not seen those before!

Hmm could I do a pro max and go caseless with that on it…

Anyone recall how bad apples trade in prices are compared to mm?

Think I’ve got too much time on my hands… the idea of getting the pro max, no case and then not worrying about it getting roughed up a bit and trading in with apple worst case seems palatable!

I think it will pass

I figure with interest free finance it’s worth keeping the money in my own account earning a tiny amount of interest. Can of course pay it off at any time

None of my credit cards have interest free financing so it’s better for me to pay outright. I’m trying to get in the habit of not carrying a balance. So far I haven’t paid any interest this year, which is a first for me.

Looking back at past emails, Apple offered me £540 for my 12 Pro Max silver 256GB in September 2021. Not amazing, but as I've said previously, I want to bring the monthly cost of the Barclays finance right down and trading the outgoing device in as a deposit helps achieve this.

Edited to add: I use one of Peel's ultra-thin clear hard cases on my 13 Pro Max. Excellent everyday scratch protection but next to nothing drop protection from such a thin case. Adds next to no bulk to the 13 Pro Max and has fooled quite a few Apple staff who've commented at my bravery going with a naked phone.

I use the pitaka magcase so it’s not naked but the case is about as thin as you can get. Adds a great amount of grip and has a ridge to protect the camera lenses when putting the phone on it’s back. Was nervous when I first started using it about drop protection but can’t see myself going back to a bulky case now

What kind of account do you have that pays enough interest that it would make it worth it, even a tiny amount? We're talking a few pounds at the most aren't we?

Yeah the interest will be sod all but still I figure I’d rather have the money in my account and pay monthly than buy all at once. If there was any interest on the Barclays loan then I wouldn’t use it but the interest free nature means I think it’s worth it

And those on 100% on the max size phone?

The pain is real…

Good thing I’ll only have it for a month more
I use the same Belkin charging stand and have 97% battery health after 11 months.

Not surprised at all. This was expected. I'm surprised it's only being applied to the Pro Models. Remember when iPhone X only cost $999 without any tax?

Bet us UKers get bigger increases as well more likely rounded off to £100 added on

The weird thing is that crude oil and shipping prices have been coming down, and supply chains easing and inventories piling up. It’s very recent, though, and I’m sure Apple has already finished recording the keynote and printed all the marketing, so too late to change the pricing now. 😆
