Very ready for tomorrow, gave up on MM quote as I need my phone until I get my hands on the new one. Selling to someone for £700 so it’s £22 difference, no brainer. Roll on tomorrow and then Friday for the pre order!!!

And then the following Friday for delivery! Man it’s going to be a long 10 days!!!

a bit like last year, I think we all by now know pretty much all that we're expecting tomorrow. I can't see any surprises or 'one last thing' moments.

what I guess doesn't get as easily leaked (compared to hardware leaks) is what apple might do with iOS with the new hardware. I think back to cinematic mode, enhancements to photography, night mode, any AR related changes.. those will be the key bits I'll be looking out for...

... and what shade of purple it is!
Ha! my thinking too, right down to the shade of purple!

I'm a serial upgrader, it's Pro Max all the way, my primary focus is always on the camera upgrades, which are looking significant 🤞.

I think there are some points that may tip the balance this year, primarily the weight, I had a slight waver last year to get the Pro for pocketability as spec-wise it was identical to the max (bar the screen size).

But ultimately I felt that I'd regret drop in screen size and extra battery capacity in the long run.

My main pause points will be any increased weight of the Pro Max (inevitable), and any cost increase for the 512, - not so much about whether I can afford it, more on what I'm willing to pay... if more than £100 I'd probably consider downsizing to pro, assuming its feature set is identical (I know I can downsize to 256, but with better cameras, I'm assuming shouldn't sacrifice storage!)

I LOVE purple, but it has to be the right shade, there will be assessments against whether it will easily be case-matched to swap out with my mood (I'm also a serial case-purchaser!).

Does anyone have any good “rumour” images of the purple pro colour that is coming out? Am wondering how dark or light it will be.

Wish they released a midnight 14 Pro like the m2 MBA which is so nice!!!!!!!

...surely the colour of the phone is irrelevant - 98% of you will slap on a case, 5 minutes after unboxing the phone, no?

You'll only be able to see the colour of the camera surround!

Sometimes it's just about the 'accent', it can be nice that the camera surround looks good against the case, some people go for the silver/white iPhone simply for the shiny rim they can see on the front of the phone when in a case.

I just love the idea of a purple iPhone, I've never gone careless, and to be fair, apart from the first blue Pro Max I've always gone graphite/space grey as I enjoy being covert at times with a dark case (less obvious taking photos at gigs with a no camera policy). When I got the first blue iPhone I wasn't overly fond of its compatibility with coloured cases.

There are always clear cases, I'm not a fan of the *Clear Apple Case but I'd go with it if the Phone colour were too good to cover up (*other clear cases are available, but I'd rather full magsafe compatibility over just 'magnets').

Agreed, I'll slap a case on it inside 10 minutes and not look at it again for a year... but I do still tend to buy the new colour of the year... if not for anything else then personal gratification!

someone pointed out that the 13 in Sierra Blue seem to be selling at a slightly higher price on Music Magpie too... maybe if you sold privately in a year, you might get a better price!

I ended up going caseless on my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the last 3 months and loved it. I will of course get a case for the 14 Pro Max but how long that'll last I don't know. One thing I did to when out was put the Wallet Case on the back so that when you lay the phone down in rests on the wallet.. The wallet also provides a great grip.

I'm trying to go caseless with my current 13 Pro and wallet but find the wallet comes off way to easily as there is no grip for the wallet on the slippery back of the iPhone.

For that reason, I have ordered a textured skin from EazySkins - that way, the wallet has something to grip on.

Wouldn’t they know stuff like that from coding in iOS 16 from the betas
