Not sure if this has been mentioned but it seems you can now use iTunes gift cards to purchase hardware. You could previously only buy apps, apple music, apple subs etc. The change has been available in America for a while but not sure when it happened here in the UK. This may change purchases for some slightly as its possible to get iTunes gift cards from supermarkets sometimes up to 20% off.

I've had over £200 just sitting in my wallet for a few months (which was 20% off) so will likely purchase a new case for my 14PM.

Personal preference I think but I do prefer Spigen
I went with the ESR Armorite based on this forum last year. It lasted all year, which was great.
I ordered the Belkin one from Apple the year before that, but it only lasted a few days (just seemed to peel off). I was super disappointed by this as it was very expensive. I also hadn't used screen protectors before this so that put me off them for another year.

yes, once the store re-opens (soon after the event finishes) you'll see all the official pricing and configuration options.

You won't have a problem with 2 phone orders at the same time... assume you're paying outright and not doing the Barclays pre-auth finance?

There use to be this thing about ordering accessories alongside the phone and that causing delays as they then needed to combine items into a single package. I don't think that's an issue any more. That was more in the days the phones would ship from China and then they would have to combine the cases and package together. I will still be ordering the cases separately but due to being able to add the 10% discount via work perks.
Doing the same, and thanks for the reminder! Just used our 'rewards' scheme at work to load some money on my apple gift card (4% discount) then will use the 10% Accessories discount for the purchase with the gift card funds - double dipping ;)

Thought it wise to load the gift card today before the store goes down just in case anything goes on sale immediately after the event (cases... airpods pro....?)

Has anyone got experience of applying a gift card credit against a new iPhone when purchasing on presale on the Apple Store App i.e., in the rush of the presale?

... would be good to know if the option shows up / isn't a faff, I'm not brave enough to buy a gift card to the value of a new iPhone in case it doesn't work, but 4% the total is tempting. I'll defo use it next year if I see it available for use.

I know the PayPal credit option only shows up for web purchases.

Just did a quick test and confirm that there is now the option to use your iTunes gift credit as part payment for any purchases. Seems my iPhone 14 just got a little cheaper…. Now wondering if I should top up some more at a discounted rate hmmmm

BLC? Can't see the option to buy the apple gift card at 4%?

I prefer the spigen installation method by far but found their screen protectors cause a strange distortion with polarised sunglasses. Switched to ESR Amorite and it’s been brilliant. And that’s from someone who used to hate screen protectors and hasn’t stuck with one before

You've lost me on 'BLC', not sure what that means (probably me, long day!)

There might be different reward schemes for different workplaces.... ours has an employee purchase programme which gives a percentage reduction for certain purchases i.e., a link to the apple store which automatically discounts 10% off Apple Branded Accessories, 6% off Macbook and iPads, 2% off Apple Watch etc.... And it also had 7% off iTunes vouchers until recently.

When the iTunes Vouchers became 'Gift Cards' that went down to 4%.

I can purchase my gift card in advance and credit my apple account, but if I want the 10% off accessories I have to use the portal (which I log into via work) which takes me to the Apple Store where I can then apply my Gift Card to the already discounted price.

I think for me, this year will be a trial, I've only put £100 on the gift card, I know I can apply a gift card credit to my purchase currently, but in the franticness of an on-sale I don't want to risk it not coming up - I don't want to tie up £1500 in a gift card and then be faced with only a card payment option (technically another £1500).

To be fair I wouldn't risk using my reward scheme portal for the onsale, I'm strictly App and Web based (Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox) in my pursuit of release day delivery 😆

You know the thread is ramping up when it takes a good few minutes to catch up on the pages you’ve missed 😂

Heads up to those that pay AppleCare+ monthly, you can cancel on the subscriptions page but you still have coverage till the end of your billing cycle. If you ring apple support they can cancel immediately and you’re then due a refund. I got £6.90x2 for both phones which will cover one month for the one of the new ones, every little helps?

Sorry BLC is Blue light card. Doesn't appear to have a discount on gift cards.

Which scheme did you use? Perks at work? Xexec?
