It used to be same day as phone but the past couple of years maybe more have been after the event. It’s basically a pre buzz to pre ordering the phone You get to see it sitting in your account. Series 7 was after youth as JinJin said.

Edit: I am pretty sure the S5 could be preordered straight after the event though as I did it from work.

You might be right… I can’t remember that far back!

Looking at emails, my s5 shipped as 3-4 weeks for dispatch.

Max be it was the s4 I picked up! 🫣

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it seems you can now use iTunes gift cards to purchase hardware. You could previously only buy apps, apple music, apple subs etc. The change has been available in America for a while but not sure when it happened here in the UK. This may change purchases for some slightly as its possible to get iTunes gift cards from supermarkets sometimes up to 20% off.

I've had over £200 just sitting in my wallet for a few months (which was 20% off) so will likely purchase a new case for my 14PM.

Think it was a couple of months ago, from memory. Supermarket I work for had the ‘old’ ones swapped out for these.

I think iPhone 13 Pro screen protectors should be very similar with iPhone 14 Pro displays only difference would be speaker cut out might be a bit wider.

When you redeem a gift card, does it get added to a single universal Apple wallet? I can get these as a discount https://www.currys.co.uk/products/itunes-£50-app-store-and-itunes-gift-card-10088196.html

Potentially a stupid question but guessing we won’t see any cases from 3rd parties like rhino shield until product release? As oppose to product announcement tomorrow which I sssume would give us dimensions

thanks @Jackmw14 for the prompt!

so some watch talk...

2018 Event was Weds 12th Sept.
the series 4 was available to order Friday 14th and available the following Friday 21st

2019 Event was Tues 10th Sept.
the series 5 watch did go on pre-order the same day as the event.. it did go sale a week Friday (20th)

2020 Event was Tues 15th Sept.
the series 6 was again available for pre-order the same day and after the event and available Friday 18th.

2021 Event was Tues 14th Sept.
the series 7 was only available to from Oct 8th

if last year's delay on the watch was down to covid, the most recent history has shown the watch being available on the day of keynote..

I'm so not prepared to push an order through... god this is last years MBP scenario all over again! ended up buying a pimped out m1 max just to get the order in!

then it was weeks of regret and changing it down to a pro :D

Sounds like an Apple watch may be available to pre-order right after the event. I hope to God Apple at least lets us order the Apple Watch by mid-night or something not right after.

Yes it gets added to your wallet credit which can now be used towards anything off the apple store. Apple know that this will be exploited as all the places that used to offer discounted rates have either disappeared or had their discount rates cut.

I managed to get 20% off Wegift cards via Monese worth £700 so only paid £560. Spent £200 on sainsburys gift cards which in turn I used to purchase Apple gift card in store. Will likely go back tomorrow and buy £200 worth.
