Which Model are you getting?

Good to see this tread up and running, I always enjoy it. Usually lurk more than comment though.
Got a silver 12 Pro Max at the moment. Not certain I’ll get a 13 but I’d like a colour change so there‘s a more than reasonable chance I will.
And if the watch gets a longer lasting battery I‘ll definitely get one of them.

Do you use iCloud? if so you won't need anymore space for pictures. I save all my pictures to iCloud photos and have a 256GB iPhone. I'm nowhere near running out of space. I have two children and take pictures of them all the time going back to when they were babies. You must be excited for the new baby but get ready for the sleepless nights lol

Ha yeah I use iCloud, just concerned more for video taking really. Yeah not long to go to experience that ha. 3rd September duo date

Will be getting the 13 mini and pass my 12 mini to my wife to replace her SE.

Just hoping they can give the 13 mini better battery life or make it more energy efficient. Rest is perfect.

A15 cpu/gpu’s should be significantly more efficient 10-20%, a near 20% increase in battery capacity, and if you use it Qualcomm’s X60 5G modem is also more efficient even supporting mmWave data connections/throughout .

so yeah it’ll be a beast but I fear of Lens Flare a huge issue across regular 12 series lineup and wide + ultra wide camera setup ‘may’ stay having us loose out to Telephoto lens on the Pro series only.

I'm considering picking up the Max. I have always had large phones until last time round when I got the regular 12 Pro. In so many ways I love the size of the phone and its a lot more pocketable than my XS Max was. But I do notice that because of the smaller screen I tend to put off doing certain tasks on my iphone, waiting instead till I've got access to an ipad or computer. So I think I miss the larger screen and a new iphone release is the perfect time to switch!

Bought my 12 Pro outright but thinking of getting the 13 Pro Max on the 0% payments if they offer it, selling my 12 Pro to fund a new apple watch (to replace my series 4). On the 24 monthly payment option , is it possible to pay it off early? So say next year if I want the 14 I can sell my 13PM and pay off the existing finance then get the new one? Would prefer that option rather than IUP

Yep. You can pay off early either with one larger final payment to cover the remaining balance, or via additional payments each month.

Just be aware that making additional payments won't bring the monthly repayment value down - only that the end date will move forward. In other words, if your monthly repayment each month is £30, making an additional £10 payment each month will not reduce the following monthly repayments to less than £30, but will bring your final payment date forward by a few months over time.

What about the Series 4, will you sell it to also subsidized the Series 7 cost - I don't think it'll be that expensive to use teh 12 pro to subsidize it's cost, having a lot $$ extra.

I wonder if the smaller notch will allow battery % to show up again without having to swipe down.

With an expected third week of release in September we are looking back to normal again for the 13 release.

I'm hoping the 13 Pro Max is not delayed by 1 month again, although 2020 was an exceptional year.

I doubt Apple will hold the keynote first week of Sep so these dates are a likely best bet:

Keynote: Tuesday 14th September
Pre-orders: Friday 17th September
Launch: Friday 24th September

Hopefully just under a month away from the take off, bring it on!

Would tend to agree on those dates

@Jinjin in your original post you have links to previous UK launch threads. May I suggest another, most excellent, thread even though it dates back quite some time.

All done!

Still 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 to add

surely a pointless "upgrade" if you have the 12
I doubt it…

120Hz screen
Bigger battery life
Portrait mode for video
Upgraded cameras
A little small notch (we may be able to see battery percentage now at all times)
A15 chip
Faster and more energy efficient
Always on display
1TB storage

And so much more..
