From personal experience, they usually send a text letting you know about the decline and that they will send one more text where you will have to reply with Yes or No to confirm that it is you. Did they not send those texts?

Ive been trying since 1pm and finally managed to order a iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB Deep Purple.

Couldn't preceed as it kept complaining about the shipment address being invalid despite it being correct.

In the end, deleted all my apple pay cards, cleared payment and shipping but the one that fixed it was logging into iCloud, manage payment card and deleting the shipping address from there and then the App worked using barclays finance.

....... Delivery: 10 Oct - 17 Oct 😡

Gutted to say the least.

Will see if John Lewis offer 0% finance next week and order from there if so.

Sorry to everyone having pre-order problems - can imagine it's super frustrating.

I lucked out, managed to sneak onto the app during a work meeting at 1:05pm, and reserved a 9am launch day phone very easily.

In the end, I played it safe and stuck with silver - first time I haven't changed colour year-on-year, but the purple really didn't do it for me.

Has anyone ever managed to get an iPhone on launch day by just waliking into the store at 8am will they have stock for walk ins?
They do sometimes have stock for walk-ins.
I used to do pickup at Gateshead Metrocentre and one year they had stock and my wife was able to switch colours no problem.
I think if you can easily get to a store for opening then it’s worth a try if you’re wanting one on launch.
You may not get the exact configuration you want though…

Heh, I'm planning to use the very same to get the AirPods Pro whenever they land at Argos. Hope your iPhone pre-order goes smoothly, I know Argos can be a pain!
Thanks, I actually messed up! The pre-orders went live at Currys at around 4pm today and so I decided to go with them instead of waiting for Argos which caught me totally off-guard and by the time I converted the gift cards, it was sold out. So now I am realistically stuck with the gift cards until it comes back in stock, but was hoping for release day delivery which no longer seems likely. Also got a good value locked in on my 12 Pro Max (£598) so would like to sell it of course.

Yes they did and I responded but still had issues as first payment was taken by Apple Pay.

Do we think the delivery estimates will stick, or likely to creep forward?

Managed to preorder an iPhone 14 Pro 256G Silver - 3rd October delivery so far

Thank you for the kind words. Honestly she’s had it before where she’s been almost passing out in pain and then suddenly the pain goes. Apparently it’s full of gallstones !

She’s scared of having the OP but I keep saying that it’s going to improve her life massively. Also hoping it’ll help with all the aches and pains and things like hiccups, heartburn etc.

The NHS have sent her private after waiting a year so I just hope it goes well and she can eventually enjoy some food again!
Don’t get me wrong it deffo has improved her life too. She had multiple problems, hiatus hernia as well as gallstones so it was massive relief for her too. She used to get random pains so bad she nearly had to go to A&E and was on the NHS waiting list for about 2 years or so but finally had the op through them.
The worst thing was a week after she had her op she gets a letter from her GP that advised them not to operate because they were concerned about her health and diabetes… insane

Big up Team Silver! 👊🏼🎉

So boredddddd. Why can’t Apple give our phones now. I’m sick of waiting. It’s been 9 hours since ordering and nothing has happened. .

But then you’ll have your phone, you’ll have unboxed it, set it up and the novelty factor would have worn off as you realised it does the same thing your previous 5 phone have

Let’s enjoy the next week, talk of cases and screen protectors, iOS 16 dropping, embargos lifting on reviews, more anxiety on if you did make the right choice on colour as you see more reviews and to then finally see those dispatch notifications come through next Thursday afternoon.
There’s nothing else like this time

What black borders?

What's the oleophobic coating like? That's why I've gone for a better quality one (hopefully) this time, as the cheap ones don't tend to have a very good one
I thought I saw black borders on the image of the screen protector

I've decided on the TORRAS Diamond Clear case. I always get clear cases. I would have chosen the Apple clear case, but I don't like the lack of protection at the botton.

So, I have a few questions if anyone knows the answers at all:

1. Do Apple stores install screen protectors?

2. How much is it? Is it worth it?

3. How do I book/arrange it? Can it be done online or do you just pop into store?

Many thanks in advance if anyone can answer these.

1. Yes, they have special installation device for Belkin screen protectors.
2. Belkin Ultra Glass is £34.95
3. You don't need to book

They do include a do it at home installation which will suffice for most people

Gotta say, having this thread every year makes the whole experience 10x better.

Please do not mention the C word, my nerves are shot as it is and I'd just about stabilised!

In my experience they never creep forward. Sometimes they creep backwards.

My experience would have said you’re more likely to get it sooner than it pushing out longer. Once the first batch of release day pre orders ship, the last few years have seen the next lot start moving pretty quickly. I’m sure a lot starting seeing PFS on the Saturday and deliveries the following week. Can only hope apple do their magic

Your price with ReBuy by chance?
