What model are you getting?

Just realised I forgot to change the pickup on my phone to my wife as she will go to the store. What's the easiest way to change the pickup name on my phone? Doesn't seem to be an option to change the order.

I had to do this a few years ago, there was an option to change who was picking up the phone through the app I’m pretty sure, where you put in the name of who was collecting it if it wasn’t who bought the item.

Not sure if it’s changed since then though.

There is no option online or in the App to change. That said it is still processing once it gets beyond that point I will see if it lets me change. If not I will go with her. I did remember to change her phone, just a pain if we both need to go.
 
I woke up in a panic this morning as the leather midnight was sold out for launch yesterday ( even in stores). However this morning at 7am all the stores had stock of all cases for collection so I ordered on the app and went to my local (Apple Store Milton Keynes).

Not even 1 person in the store and no iPhone 14 branding or cases on display. Even their employees said “ hey can we sell these” and manager replied saying “Embargo was lifted so everyone can get all accessories now”.

I hadn’t ordered the “ink” but asked to see it and they opened one for me at which point I pulled out the Amex
In my expereience stock in Apple stores assiciated with new release devices will go through this cycle. Out of Stock showing post closure in the eveneing, stock update 0600hrs following morning.

Because (again, IMHO) they are the worst company, when it comes to any kind of decent customer service.

They don’t pay their staff enough to care and unless they can sell you a warranty, or an item that they can earn a bonus from, they don’t care.

And just wait until you have a problem with a device you’ve bought from them.

Because they can’t make money from you, they don’t care about your 6 month old, dead iPhone.

They’ll fob you off and give you the runaround until you give up.

Please, don’t do it.
Simply shocking customer service IMHO. Bought a "cheap" first laptop for my son for Christmas. He opened it but the internal battery wouldnt hold charge so when the power cable inadvertantly pulled out it would turn off. Took it back to CPW and they would not do a thing, and adamantly told me I had no right to customer support for a perishable item..... Phoned their main customer service line while in store and forced the store manager to change the laptop battery only through the handsfree convedrsation i was having publicly in the store with CPW CS department. Shockingly poor when you need them to be better.

Well I thought I was done, but apparently there was a problem with my payment and they need me to update it.

Okay sure, no problem. I have a few cards.

I also have a few browsers.

NONE OF THEM WORK. It gets to the 2FA page and just doesn't actually load anything from any of the banks.

(Not a scam by the way, I went to the order page manually myself)
I had the same problem all day yesterday. Took a deep breath ready to try again today and when I clicked the link in the ‘there’s a problem’ email it took me to my order and it’s all sorted!! .. I have no idea which credit card they used in the end as it’s showing as Apple Pay and they use another number completely lol .. I think I have enough credit on all 3 cards for it to be ok!?! 🤪

Similarly to how the storm blue looked ‘chalkier’ to last years abyss blue, I kinda seem that with the elderberry and plum from a few years ago

Love all these photos of the cases. I think it helps to see them outside of studio lighting etc. I'm super tempted to pop to my local Apple store and check out all the new colour combos on the cases.

I think because I've gone for the silver with the white back, it almost feels like all the colours will suit it. And on that note, I'm thinking it's probably best I don't go, or else I'll end up coming back with each colour. :eek::oops::confused:

Apple Pay generates a unique card number for each card you add in the Apple Pay Wallet. You can go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Select the card you think they charged > Tab: Info > Device Account Number. You will see the last four digits of the generated card number for that particular card that was added to Apple Pay. Repeat until you much the numbers with the digits appearing in the card used for the order and then you will know which card they used.

Just because you reserve as iup, you could still rock up and change to any other payment method.

Looking back at last year it was the same case 6am launch day stock gets updated
 
The esr armorite has a black border around it. When it’s stuck down you can’t even see it.
Just discovered Amazon have an offer with a code on esr protectors and cases

I can just hear Tim Cook’s voice on Monday “demand for our newest iPhones have been phenomenal!”

Oh without doubt. He says that every year without fail and even the years where sales were slightly down. It would be silly of him to say anything other as it’s all PR. I’d imagine they will sell well, especially in the US. Not so sure about the UK and Europe.
 
Does anyone set up their new iPhone from new or do you set up from backup? I usually set up from my old iPhone but like the idea of setting up from new. What do you guys do?
