What model are you getting?

Yep, I dont think the ‘average’ consumer care about titanium etc, they’ll happily pick up a base one which I think reflects in the price.

It’s definitely not great, question is if you cash in early via eBay or something whilst the prices are high or wait another year or two when they really plummet
I think it's beyond daft to put time-limited innards in an expensive casing. Almost by definition anyone who is interested enough to spend titanium money is also going to want to the most up-to-date release too, so the resell value is only ever going to be a tiny premium over the base model.

How easy is it to switch to a new phone do you know? That's the main thing putting me off moving my EE SIM to being an eSIM - but if it's straightforward, then I might change it for my new 14 Pro.

You don’t need to move to esim if you don’t want. It’s only the USA who have moved to esim only phones.

For those that choose not to restore from a backup, how does iCloud Photo Library handle your people album?

I have quite an extensive people album of all of my family and friends with thousands of photos. I don't want to have to set all of that up again, but I am tempted by the benefits of a fresh start as my backup actually dates back to the OG iPhone from 2007...

They all migrate across in iCloud. For example I can also see tagged faces in my photos app on mac

Very surprised last night to see the base iPhone 14 128 in black is still available for Friday delivery.

After my kid (19) being quite non-plussed about the offer of an upgrade to the X it's since developed a rapidly-worsening green screen of death over the weekend which looks like insanely bright neon green plasma breaking through in straight vertical lines ...

There doesn't seem to be much point buying an 11, 12, 13 etc now if we're hoping to keep it on a 3 - 5 year cycle.

Had a Barclays partner finance email this morning too. Shows my loan activate as of yesterday.

Looks like as well as people being charged to their cards, apple have activated loans suggesting our phones are moving have been allocated!

Happy monday everyone, these next 4 days will be so long! wish they would drop reviews a bit early. I've got friday booked off so it will be a relaxing Friday Apple Store pickup in the morning for me
Do we know what day the reviews are due? Wednesday?

Car crash detection only works if you have DND driving mode enabled, which many don’t - if you have CarPlay in use, there’s no real point in DND driving mode.

Kinda weird that CPW have the Pro available to preorder for delivery by 16th in every colour and size unlike every other retailer such as Amazon, Currys, Very...they must have a massive allocation of the Pro compared to the Pro Max as the latter is showing as 5th October for delivery.

just have to wait for the AppleCare docs to come through with the device serial number on.... shame that chimpmunk site no longer works where you could see the build week and factory! :(

Yeah, so I hade the same problem. Just randomly went on the Apple Store App just now and my Apple Pay order did not correctly take payment.

Logged into my apple account and used the exact same card again (but not Apple Pay) and it went through right away.

Check your orders guys!

Wow. This is unreal... Never happened before. My payment failed again....(credit card)

I've switched payment this morning (debit card) and it's gone through.

hmm, CEX all buy grade A AirPods Pro's for £104..... MM give you £55!

I can't be contemplating more stuff just because its a few days wait for the phones....
I was having the same thought.

Mine are in mint condition with all the original packaging, so should qualify as A grade.

I'd like to think mine would too... the case has been in a case since day one.

I did sell some OG AirPods to them but they knocked off due to scuffs on the case.
