I’m in the same boat. I have a Type R, driven it less than 500 in the last year. Almost seems like a very expensive ornament for my drive but it’s my dream car, can’t face giving it up. lol
I know how you feel, I absolutely love my Mini but seeing it sit outside for 23.9 hours a day is depressing when I see the monthly payments leave my account.

As a former SLK owner I concur. Though, when the Ukraine war kicked off and nuclear annihilation seemed possible, I did go out and buy an A35. I work from home so it’s not used much, but I do not regret it. 😂
I looked at the A35 AMG very nice car but was out of my budget or shall I say my wife's budget!

I can’t recommend it highly enough. Goes like the clappers. Was also out of my budget until the war kicked off and I thought… sod it. You only live once.
My Mini Clubman is the sport with 190bhp, quite a way down from when I had a Golf R and a Audi TTS before that but wanted something a touch more better on fuel, still miss having an extra 100bhp though!

urgh, not a great DHL experience today. missus had an item expected. driver pulls up outside the property, sits there for a few minutes and then drives off... she's not got an email saying no one was in! I've got it on camera he never left his van!

hopefully not the same on Friday!

I have just had a notification that my phone case from Amazon has been left at reception. Funny considering I was sitting there when the notification came through and unless it was the invisible man who delivered the case there was defiantly no delivery.

Now amazon have the cheek to tell me it may be at my next door neighbours.... I work in a car dealers with nothing else either side of the building so not sure who my neighbour may be 😂

Terrible! With both DHL and UPS I pretty much invariably get no attempt to actually deliver my to-you-door deliveries to my door (the bell never rings when I have been in all day) but instead at some point during the day I get an email to say that my package has been delivered to a nearby collection point. When I go in to collect something I sometimes ask the shop owner if he gets complaints from people who had waited in all day for something supposed to be delivered to their address but instead it ended up at the store and he said yes, he gets constant complaints. I wonder whether that explains the weird behaviour of your DHL driver, he drove to your address so that whatever tracking DHL has on the van showed him visiting your address but he can't be bothered to do any actual deliveries so he does that for multiple addresses within range of a specific pickup point and then dumps all the packages at that pickup point.

One time when I was laid up with a bad back DHL dropped a maybe 20kg package at my pickup point and even though it was less than 50 metres from my flat I called up the retailer and asked them to tell DHL to come back the following day, pick it up from the collection point, and actually bring it the < 50 metres to my door. I had to do that, I couldn't walk more than 10 metres even with two sticks at the time, but I also enjoyed making a point to DHL. Sadly it hasn't changed their behaviour. Give me DPD or good old Royal main 24/48 hour tracked any day.

another off topic but does anyone use a nike sports loop for their watch?

looking for a band for use when working out etc (over the leather one). Is fabric/woven of sports loop more difficult to maintain than a silicone band/loop?

always found it easier to wipe and clean the silicone sports band when I had my S5, but I do like the look of the Nike sports loop (here)

I’ve got 3 or 4 of the Nike sport loops. They hold up really well. The lighter ones can look a bit grubby after a while but I just chuck them through the wash and they look great again!

I've covered all bases now with DPD, I've entered my 'what three words' location and have taken a picture of my house for the app. After what happened yesterday as soon as I see the van enter the street on the camera I'm just going to stand in the open front doorway till that parcel is in my hands!

This page is annoying me way more than it should.

Similar boat here, got a BMW M2 last year but me and my partner split our time between Texas USA and the UK and literally only put 2000 miles on the car in a year (its on 15.6k miles right now lol). Monthly payments are high but it was meant to be a weekend car for us, we want to try and get rid of it before the great recession at the end of the year!
