I work from home all the time which makes it much better for waiting for deliveries as at least I can keep an eye out for the courier, very good point for a car I have a 70 plate Mini Clubman which moves about 2 miles a week but need a car but don't need a car.
Christ I do about 5-700 miles a week!

Similar boat here, got a BMW M2 last year but me and my partner split our time between Texas USA and the UK and literally only put 2000 miles on the car in a year (its on 15.6k miles right now lol). Monthly payments are high but it was meant to be a weekend car for us, we want to try and get rid of it before the great recession at the end of the year!

M2!! Lovely! Now’s the time to sell ! We are selling our brand new Tiguan and getting 3k equity out of it this week! Try doing that it normal times with a 3 month old car !

Going back to a used Beemer funnily enough

are you going back to the dealer? BMW only seem to want to speak with me if i'm looking at getting another car, really want to get rid of this baby soon

This wait is agonising. I put in an order with Currys on Saturday after the whole Barclays Finance debacle on Friday with Apple and a delivery date of late October. I still don't trust their 16th September delivery date until I see it has actually dispatched 😆

Off topic but since we were only discussing cars anyway…

With the help of that FlightRadar app, I just saw the Queen’s plane go over. About 30 miles away. A tiny spot in the sky but a memorable moment nonetheless.
Just saw it too! Not even really a royalist but I was sat at my desk with the window open and heard my neighbour shouting about it. Rushed outside and saw the plane pass directly over head. It was flying very low!

It was still at 23,000ft when it passed here. Was very lucky to spot it. I live between two major airports so I quite often use the FlightRadar app to see what’s going over, especially when it’s something unusual. Just managed to spot it in time before it disappeared from view.

Only bonus of ordering with EE is getting a “Dispatch expected in 24 hours” notification. Should hopefully see movement on this tomorrow at some point.

Hi all, my Apple case delivery is 23-27 Sept. Is it likely that it will be delivered earlier or it usually delivers on the given timeframe? Thanks.

How’s the quality of the silicone cases now with iPhone as the last apple silicone case I used was for the iPhone 6 Plus and it was terrible, as the silicone material detached from the case “housing” and since then I have only used the official leather ones?

Curious to this as well given Apple dropped the Product RED leather case this year

another off topic but does anyone use a nike sports loop for their watch?

looking for a band for use when working out etc (over the leather one). Is fabric/woven of sports loop more difficult to maintain than a silicone band/loop?

always found it easier to wipe and clean the silicone sports band when I had my S5, but I do like the look of the Nike sports loop (here)
The sport loops are much more comfortable due to their near infinite adjustability, though they do need a proper wash periodically (stick them in a mesh delicates bag with other things in the washing machine).

The sport bands are much easier to maintain. I just wash mine when I'm having a shower after a run. I also find with the heavier steel watches, the more structured sport bands offer a bit more support and rigidity to stop the watch flopping about on the wrist.

I WFH too - have done for 9 years now and it is so handy to be always home when your Apple products arrive :)

It also means I spend more as the wife doesn't WFH and I can hide more purchases :D

Regarding the car, I used to get a new car every 2-3 years but only did 2,500 miles on my last one (a Merc E class) in 3 years, so downsized this time...to a Fiat 500 and love it. Completely different but I love it! 3 months old now, 180 miles on the clock 😂😂😂😂

I really don't need a car, but like you I do if that makes sense.

Thought I’d mess around with the “Focus” feature whilst relaxing this evening. All I will say is it’s such a pain the backside that I gave up! I read a comment somewhere which said “Focus: The solution looking for a problem” spot on! 😂

Have you seen this?, Vodafone has launched a phone buy back guarantee for the iPhone 14 where the prices are locked between September 1st and October 31st next year.

Right we just gotta make it to 2pm tomorrow!

Then the reviews will keep us busy until Thursday then all the tracking fun starts. Not for me as I'm collection but I'll live through you guys.
This makes me so happy! I cannot wait to soak up the reviews tomorrow.

I've been working since this morning and going to work late so I can take the afternoon off for them tomorrow!
