yes, you've not started the loan as you've not completed the check out.. that's Friday. You would also get 14 days to cancel the agreement too.
also, looks like you can cancel the pre-order too.
go to the apple store app, the 'for you' tab at the bottom. then click the view pre-order link on your order.. once that loads, scroll to the bottom and there is a 'delete and start over' option.
You can always just pay off the loan immediately and close it down.

The loan is activated when your phone is delivered - if you hit 'delete and start over' on the pre order screen you should be able to roll it back to let you go down the pay in full route.
FYI- You can now “Pre Pre order” on the Apple store now and select which model/colour/storage you want
I wanted the larger screen this year, but really can't bring myself to pay 1.2k for a phone.
Just done pre orders for the pro max in silver and space grey. Was actually good to have my card pre authorised and go through that process as am finding my bank (TSB) a bit unreliable with their security : two factor authentication when getting online stuff at the moment. I lost a restaurant reservation recently because it wanted me to verify the payment in the app and nothing was showing in the app when I opened it. Despite selecting a reservation 3 times I couldn’t ‘checkout’ in time and within about 10/15 mins all the tables for the month were gone. Still raging as was for a foodie holiday and won’t have opportunity to try ti go again for a long time!! Now I know I shouldn’t have the same problem on Friday as it was by passcode and worked fine .

When you select credit/debit card, you can then add gift cards
Just pre-authorised the loan for an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB in Silver! I like the white colour a lot and it goes well with a lot of other things I own in white. Purple is my favourite colour, so it was really hard not to choose the special colour this time around.
I have the iPhone 13 Pro so the upgrade to the max size will feel like a jump forward at least. I always hated the larger phones, but I am constantly using my 13 Pro sat down and wishing I had more screen space. In an ideal world, I'd have both sizes, but due to wallet constraints I'll just have to settle for alternating the size each year! 😅

Well I need to initiate a Pro Max case return 🤦♂️ order a Pro case & screen protector and speak to MM. Might stretch those tasks out a bit 😂

you can add gift cards to pre pre-order.. you select the pay by credit/debit card and you can add the vouchers there!

First time in a very long time I've done the mad dash for an iPhone launch. Just wondering what level of bedlam to expect for the 1pm launch on Friday. Are we talking Glastonbury level of craziness, or generally if you get your pre-order sorted bang on at 1pm you'll have a launch day release or within a few days of that?
Just don't want to be stung hamming refresh, site to be down, and then come back up saying they can't deliver until November. My poor XS FaceID died in July and smashed the screen to smithereens last week (which is fantastic as it's practically worthless on trade-in now!).
