for those who have not pre pre-ordered, what happens on Friday:
once the store opens (for me it will be 13:06!), open the apple store app and there should be a prominent banner pointing you to complete your pre order. if its not, then just look at the 'for you' tab and follow from there.
you'll then have a few clicks to confirm order and whether its delivery or collection (and choose store and time) and that is it!
its all pretty quick!
will be interesting to see for those who are paying in full, if they get any card issues even after the auth check during pre pre order.

if you're in and ordered for when the store opens at 1pm, then you should get launch day stock... barring any shortages or delays right off the bat!
but its not been like that for many a year, been pretty civilised and easier to do (due to pre auth).
the biggest stress is continually refreshing the 5 devices you have open to have the store 'open' for you.
the anxiety levels go up when you keep reading others completing orders whilst the store still seems down for you!
force close apps and reopen!
never seems to open as quick as everyone else!
will be like the event not loading on Apple TV earlier, all over again!
not sure if its something to do with my ISP (hyperopic) some online stores seemed to think I was in holland based on my IP address.
I'll have the phone off wifi and on 5g too when refreshing

I was expecting it to drop more TBH. I’m not suprised though as the high cost of the 14 means it doesn’t conflict with the 13 pricing structure.

Just completed my pre-order for an iPhone 14 Pro and I was initially declined for the Barclays finance. I have applied successfully for the previous 2 years and I have never defaulted on the payments. I tried a second time and changed the gross income by adding in a second regular income. This may have been the difference, because it was then approved at the second attempt.
On Friday, I will not be able to order at 13:00. I may be couple of hours late. I will also be ordering an iPhone 14 for a family member. Just hoping that I will still be able to secure a slot for Saturday collection at the Apple store.

I do a bit of both. Set up as new phone but then pull in the iCloud data. Pretty sure what’sapp data is sorted in iCloud so you get to keep it that way
