I did with three under their advise on phone and 2 years later I’m with a debt collector demanding handset cost (despite three confirming receipt of refused delivery and handset being returned within the 14 day policy). They admitted errors their end yet I’m the one with the debt now despite following their advise… maybe ring them to check if refusal of delivery counts?

You should be ok. The same scenario with my Macbook Pro delivered from apple back in July and didn't have any problem or delay.
Interesting - I also have the m1 max as my main base at home but did start looking at the MBA in midnight as it’s more portable for work / travel. Would lead you to get a second one? You still keeping the M1?
A little annoyed that Apple are using DPD & DHL, not because I don't like them...I like them. Especially DPD. Hell, even Evri are good round here!
UPS though have marked two parcels within a couple weeks of each other as delivered without delivering them. Managed to get one after two days of calls. The other (custom NikeID) stolen by sub-contractors.
So in fear of it happening to my iPhone I ordered for pickup but the nearest store is an hour away by car & train, so a couple of hours round trip.
Then they go and use DPD or DHL!, LOL!
Ah well, at least it bodes well for my Apple Watch Ultra next week as I couldn't order for pickup.
Just wish they could state in advance the courier or better, give a choice as I know different locations get different quality of service with the various couriers.
Anyway, back to basking in the thread excitement.
