Wow, that's a huge increase, both in size and weight! Have you had a Max before your Mini?
I had a 12 Pro Max previously, so I know what to expect. 🤓 I’m of the opinion that you should go really small or really big with iPhones.

The 6.1-inch is big enough that I have to use two hands most of the time, so may as well go all the way to the Max!

I love Amazon for the super fast deliveries and no fuss customer service. But this order is something else.

I created this account based on my feelings for Amazon regarding this order lol.

I may be but it isn’t very reassuring. I’m anxious waiting to find out if I got it on launch day or if I should of have slept during the release window lol
Don’t stress, Amazon can send you a dispatch notification after 10:30pm and you will still get your delivery next day. That’s just how they work

Whats the best way to book an instore pickup for an apple store tomorrow? I know it's a 6am start but do we just go through the normal buy process and select the store at the end? or is there a better more specific link? or way to pre-prepare for it to get the best chance of one...

Those getting the new iPhones on contract, did you get a good discount with the network providers? I have just seen the prices on the EE website and they are very expensive, almost £100 a month!
Virgin offer the 14 Pro for £41, £8 for the sim and £33 for the device per month for 36 month (works out for the device about £100 more than buying right out) so not too bad, sim is a rolling 30 day deal so can change it up/down when you like, also the yearly price increase only applies to the tariff not the device contract as it’s separate.

Music Magpie - ABSOLUTE CROOKS

I know others have had good experiences but I have been well a truly conned by them and now out of pocket by a huge amount.

I sent them an immaculate iPhone 13 Pro Max, I mean absolute mint condition, almost as perfect as the day I bought it from Apple. High-quality Tourras screen protector installed on the day I purchased it, always in a shockproof case, I even had a camera lens protector installed as I am so OCD about my tech. Never dropped and never mishandled, literally no scratches on stainless steel case apart from normal "micro Scratches" and even they were minimal. If I received my iPhone as refurbished I would have been made up - hell it still had 100% battery health.

I sent it so highly packaged - in the original Apple box which I taped shut, that was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped, then placed in a box and parcel taped within an inch of its life.

After rather suspicious delays between delivered status and they received it and after an inspection found the screen chipped, scratches on the screen, and a crack. Offer reduced from £700 to £143 as they deem the damage that bad. When challenged they have shown me photographic evidence and I can swear that the screen they showed was not the screen that was on my phone. My screen had zero scratches due to the screen protector and no chips - I closely inspected it at the point of despatch and polished it with a lint-free cloth. I reiterate that it was the definition of mint condition. Further, it was so over-packaged that I cannot see how it could have been damaged in transit.

I am devastated (strong words but it's how I feel) - I have zero recourse as they claim that's the phone they received (possibly it is but something amiss has happened in the meantime). There is nothing I can do but reject their offer and receive a damaged phone back that I swear has a screen on that is not mine. Resale value is now hugely impacted, this is not the phone I sent them, and I am out of pocket by a huge amount. They will not entertain any liability and just say that's the phone I sent - the IMEI number matches.

What can I do - seems to be absolutely nothing.

I assume it'll be the usual 'ship to home' or 'in store pickup'!

This is all MY FAULT

To think I could trust those Scoundrels at EE for a 2nd year running

They proper did a number on me with the 13 Pro Max where I had to change the colour just to get it 3 weeks later!

And this year same old same old,

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice….

I ordered at like 13:10 on Pre Order day aswell.

I’ve got some bad luck man.

If the deal wasn’t £54 a month for the 256GB Pro Max with Unlimited everything I’d have left these liars time ago!

The latest from 150 is “EE received no Pro Max’s” so everyone who’s said their Pro Max’s are dispatched are “Lying” it’s literally laughable at this point.

Great.

Ahhhh I can’t contain my excitement! Upgrading from the 13 mini to the 14 Pro Max is so exciting. I do really like the mini and I’m contemplating keeping it as a backup (or maybe for work instead of my company 11), but I really miss the Max display and battery life. Not to mention the cameras!

It’s gonna feel so big and I can’t wait! 🤣

I sold my 13PM quite early to get maximum sale value before the event and had always wanted to try the Mini, so I got the 13 Mini from Apple as my “step in” phone until the 14PM arrived. I actually ended up loving it and only wished they did a Pro version of it. I said farewell to it on Tuesday when I returned it to Apple (as I would’ve gone over my 14 days otherwise 👀).

Wow, that’s shocking. I’ve sold half a dozen phones to them and never had an issue. Situations like this are always “their words against mine”, but do you have photos from before you packed it?

Sorry to hear you’re having such a crap time with them. Everyone recommends them because they’re usually quick and easy, and the best-paying. Seriously bad luck with yours. 😞

Still no movement on Amazon. It should be criminal to so clearly sell more than they know they have available.

But at the end of the day, I still point the blame at Apple for ****ing up the pre-order for the Barclays pre-approved people on the Apple Store app.

nice option to have for a back up burner phone!

I was looking at refurbished phone options but I couldn't justify the price of some of the newer phones, just to use for a few weeks and then leave in a drawer for a year.

the XR is a good option and worked well for my interim gap shoutout my 13P. good it will support iOS 16 and onwards, so will remain relatively current for when I do bring it back out of hibernation in 11 months time!
