What model are you getting?

Not sure exactly but I’d expect them to have a busy day so hard at it. I also sometimes get DPD deliveries where I don’t get a time slot till we’ll after 9am. Hopefully not tomorrow!

I normally don't get a time slot until pushing 11am, which is the latest they let you know. Normally get deliveries here mid-late afternoon.

The only part I dislike is setting Up my 2FA app again last time I couldn’t access my work laptop after I deleted the 2FA App from my old phone before setting it up on the new one 🤦🏼‍♂️
Yes, I had the same problem one year when a messaging app wouldn't let me login on the new phone unless I confirmed on my old phone (which I had by then already wiped!).

On 2FA, I also had the slightly unpleasant experience of needing to phone HMRC in 2018 to delete the 2FA on my phone before it let me set it up on the new phone. Fortunately from 2019 onwards, it seems to have transferred across with the iPhone info.

I keep a long list of things to do when I upgrade my phone to hopefully avoid falling into the same traps...

I’m just worried to do iCloud because I’ve never actually used it before to store absolutely everything on my phone… I will move on to this as long as I know I will keep everything from my phone settings to wallpapers, photos, contacts, messages etc

I’d suggest you do the device to device and then invest some time to back up your phone/photos/messages/apps to iCloud.

Once you get they in place, then future transfers are straight forward

I tend to do device-to-device transfer (wired with the camera adapter), I just can't remember if I have to unpair the watch first or if it just comes over (with all the previous data) in the transfer?

Being extra cautious as it's cellular and I hate calling EE to sort out the watch e-sim.

Tempted to go down the MM smart kiosk route then if they will update my original order / price.

Does anyone know what time the kiosks are open? If there’s someone remotely checking the phones I assume they are not 24/7?

Just got a delivery update from DHL for my iPhone 14 Pro which Apple said would deliver 16th.

When you click through for tracking it says we have your parcel and it's due for delivery Tuesday 20th Sept. What?!? :-( Anyone else got DHL updates this evening?

So spoke to O2 … been told to wait 4 weeks despite people getting shipments from O2 who ordered after me and at point of sale it said 16th as release not 4 week delay.
What model / colour did you get? There’s always shortages on one or two options

Oooh, interesting. If I don’t have to unpair my watch as I’ll be doing device to device upgrade that would save me some stress.

Anyone know for sure if you have to unpair it?

Last update on mine from DHL was 16:09 saying it was picked up - both DHL site and syncreon both showing delivery tomorrow for me. Fingers crossed yours is a mistake and it corrects its self overnight

I did earlier in this thread. Everyone here is all in on MM but I couldn't recommend reBuy enough. Used them last year and the year before to sell my 11PM and 12PM. The convenience of choosing the DPD delivery date, having the driver come over to your place, bring all the packaging etc and having it delivered to reBuy the very next day and then your payment the day after is priceless. (I don't work for them I promise 😜) I got the full amount quoted both times btw. Having my 256 13PM picked by DPD on Saturday, £733. My only experience with MM was selling a MBA once and that was definitely...not smooth.
Thanks for this. So do you recommend taking photos when the DPD guy packs the phone?

AFAIK you don’t, it asks if you want to move the watch to the new phone during the transfer process.

Always good practice to do this. Whenever I clear a phone down I always go through basic setup and then erase again. Also run it through iMazing to clear it down
There really is no need to do this: when you erase the phone it destroys the encryption key for the SSD, given the strength of the encryption the sun would be a brown dwarf before anyone could decrypt your data.

Definitely coming tomorrow, DPD tracking just moved from ‘we have your order but not your parcel’ to ‘Your parcel is due for delivery Friday. Your 1 hour time slot is available as soon as your parcel leaves your local depot’
