Weirdly the Apple Store app has my phone details pre-filled in the Trade In section, but if I go to the Apple Store webpage via Chrome it makes me enter the details of my current phone, even though I'm logged in.

Wouldn't trust Apply Pay again for this type of transaction

its a yearly theme with people having issues with Apple Pay for the ore-order. Advisable to just stick with credit card

Anyone know if you can organise a trade-in online when you buy a new iPhone and then take your trade-in to an Apple Store once you've received the new phone? I've been stung before when returning a phone to Apple where the courier (UPS) lost it and it took some time and several phone calls for Apple to sort it out. I'd be much happier taking it to my local Apple Store then I know they have it.

how to the mechanics of the trade in when ordering work with apple?

I know there was an option to select a trade in, if you did that, do they knock off the amount from your new order then and there?

you could pre-order to just collect in store and do the trade in at the same time.


but, have you compared the value to Music Magpie etc? you'll get more money from them

I think you can add apple care to the loan, or not. If you don’t add it then when you get your phone you can add the monthly payments direct from the phone. Paying monthly is slightly more expensive so better value to add the full amount to the Barclays loan as it just gets divided into the 24 monthly payments at a slightly better rate

To the best of my knowledge both Tesco Mobile and Sky Mobile would be the best bet in terms of taking out iPhone 14 on a contract as neither of them use RPI/CPI & 3.9% (or Three’s annual 4.5% increase) to raise prices mid-contract.

Three Ireland do 4.5% however Three UK choose RPI from what I can gather
