Boom! Still waiting on the gold from DHL but the Deep Purple is my fave over the Silver. Got a Gold 12PM which I’ve loved and laying alongside I think the purple may still trump.
Then again the silver does look liver in the clear case 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️💁‍♀️
(this is alongside the Gold 12PM)

Just gone an ordered Spigen EZFit via Amazon for iPhone 14 Pro after reading posts on here.

So now i have 3 different brands of screen protectors and im still not sure which one to go for lol.

ESR Armorite
LK
Spigen EZ Fit
the ez fit install looks a doddle!

with the Armorite, it wasn't difficult by any stretch of the imagination but I did have to lift a corner a couple of times for a few tiny but pesky bubbles! looks perfect now

MFA apps are a nightmare. What's the point in backing up MS Authenticator to iCloud if, when you restore from the backup, you have to login to their portal to re-register.

And don't get me started on Cisco's SecureX.

yeah MS auth and Microsoft accounts are a pain, that I'll have to do again this evening... can't be looking at work stuff right now 🤣

I went from esim to esim. I did not even touch the EE app.

You will need to login via the website on your old phone, order a replacement esim and go from there.
I was able to down the app (with iPhone thinking I had no Wifi) and do the replacement in app

Not been the most seamless transfer so far unfortunately :(. iCloud restore finally finished but my EE eSim wouldn't transfer. Same issues as many others saying ineligible, then I tried the option under mobile data and use a nearby iPhone - this said no numbers found. Eventually sorted by transferring over in the My EE app. Thought this was one of the highlights of iOS 16/iPhone 14 this year?

Second issue now is my watch didn't transfer over properly. Keep getting 'unable to pair' and then 'Apple Watch not found'. I've had to unpair from my old iPhone, then factory reset and now it's finally pairing on my 14PM. Hoping it restores the data or as a minimum keeps my fitness data (this was backed up to iCloud). Frustrating to say the least.

I suspect a lot of the eSIM transfer issues, slow App Store downloads etc. are purely due to volume of people setting up their new phones at the same time...

done the basic switch on, settings and activated Apple Pay cards... will slowly do the main apps first (email, WhatsApp and then banking)

nice having the current XR side by side to compare on what apps are needed (or not!)

initial thoughts now I've started the damn thing..

the dynamic island feels so natural, like its all software and the notch isn't even there. will be interesting to see it outside in brighter light as I suspect you'll see the cutouts more than not. the animations so silly smooth, be it Face ID or others! love that apple have had some fun with it!

AOD - seems quite bright to me, will take some getting use to I feel. have already looked over to it and assumed it was still on! guess by doing so, its ticking the boxes of what AOD should do! time will tell on how it impacts battery life and if apple allow more customisation of the AOD.. would love to simplify it!.

that's all I've got right now... the elderberry goes perfect with the Deep purple... a very rich warm colour! someone mentioned royal purple... its DAIRY MILK purple to me!

phone busy doing its thing and syncing passwords and photos from iCloud atm... will see how the rest goes!
You can definitely see the cutouts and sensors in natural light.

Haha, i've got 3 coming too, which Spigen did you go for? the Spigen AlignMaster seems to be the only one which has a black border the whole way around. The ESR has a tiny cut out at the top which ruins the aesthetics for me a bit.

Wow my #TeamDHL delivery driver is super super slow. My slot was 2:18-3:18.

It’s taken him 5.5 hours to do 55 drops and he’s got 30 more to do before getting to me. No chance he will make my slot so looks I’ll be getting mine late

Anybody successfully transferred EE e-SIM from the old phone to 14 yet? Any issues?
It wouldn't transfer one in the quick transfer menu. Kept saying the number was unavailable. So I waited for the new phone to restore. opened up the ee app and used that to transfer over the Esim

Was in my local apple store (MK) for the airpod pro crackle replacement at lunch today and it was pretty quiet. Genius guy said they were only doing preordered pickups although there was an old couple who walked in just before me.
Enjoy your new phones all, I’ll be getting a 14 in a month or so to replace my daughters 8+. That was my phone from launch so it’s done two of us very well.

Update - luckily it restored from the backup :)
