Now imagine that you are travelling on holiday to a foreign country… You are stuck with an e-sim only iPhone.
You don't speak the local language very well, you have no local ID, you have no local bank account…
What could go wrong?
I'm keeping a phone with a physical sim for quite a few years yet.
Seems wise... Apple might force our hands next year though.
At the moment we get the best of both worlds though - make your primary line an eSIM, then when you go abroad pop in a local SIM card in the tray. Agreed though once all eSIM then it will be more challenging.
