It’ll come soon enough I recon, but that depends on how much widespread eSim is across Europe, as I can’t see them releasing a U.K-only iPhone that’s eSim only.
Apple might think that as the UK voted for Brexit, we don't want to be treated the same as the rest of Europe. They could make us a special case !!!

Put my phone in the smartdrop kiosk today and it actually worked, but they adjusted the offer down as I’d missed the 21 day cut off.

Checked my email and the 21 days is up on Monday. So they’ve adjusted it down for no reason.

I’ve accepted the offer as there’s none better than what I was offered for my 12PM, and I’m not going to have time to take it back to the kiosk tomorrow (everything will be closed on monday) and no customer service was available, but I’m going to try and get them to adjust it back.
I had that last year. They seem to take a few days off the limit so it can get to the warehouse even though they make the decision there and then. I couldn’t get them to say how many days it was but for me it was three days before my cut off, so it’s at least that by the looks of it
 
Parcelled up my 12PM with lots of bubble wrap into the box the 14PM came in and then another box with lots of thick paper packing around it! Took lots of photos and video of the phone first. Dropped at local RM delivery office this morning so it hopefully gets to national sorting quicker but who knows. Think am on day 19 but the MM CS I spoke to on chat earlier this week when I had (and still have) account log in problems agreed to put note on file to extend by 7 days since I couldn’t check out a saved quote. I have a screenshot of that. 🤞

before that I messaged DHL to ask why they lied about out an attempted delivery and calling card yesterday. Got a quick reply apologising and saying delivery would be re attemptEd tuesday. about an hour or two later my app pinged to say it was out for delivery and it just arrived Right at the end of the delivery window. Hubby went out on the street when the van pulled up (while I am languishing in the bath!) Will possibly open tomorrow but I think am probably set on the silver I got yesterday. In fact I may not open box at all as I assume that would enable local store to put into stock (when I take for refund) For some else.
in other news I fitted the JETech screen protector and although I did a marvellous bubble free job it doesn’t actually go to the edge of the screen. Not sure if faulty size or but not happy with the fit. Will post pictures later for thoughts.

I did it too 15 minutes ago and it timed out and called them and got through to nobody. Screw it I’ll do it another day.
Okay two minutes later, after clicking retry, it did it! All done within 15 or so minutes at the musicMagpie SMARTDrop Kiosk.

Though now it seems like I entered my bank details in wrong and the payment bounced!! FFS. Anybody got a number I can call?

K .. one or two things:

1) thanks for the thread Jinjin … awesome as usual (hope Dino can get back for next year though!)
2) AOD to only get it to switch off using sleep focus was annoying .. just worked out that it’ll go off if you pop to low power mode so will just grab that from control centre when I put the phone down to charge at night 🙂
3) loving the series 8 watch! Coming from series 6 I was fairly sure I’d send it back when it arrived but, at my age, the extra screen space with the smaller bezels actually makes quite a difference!
4) All apps and stuff switched over fine except NordPass just had a black screen. Had to delete and re-download and it’s been fine since.

See you all next year .. or on the iPad arrival thread if/when it ever happens!!

My chosen magsafe compatible case doesn't work with original Anker vertical charger.
Still decent case, don't plan to purchase magsafe charger unless Anker gives in.
Silly me!
 
Doesn’t seem too bad when you put it like that but compared to my usual usage it seems pretty poor when I’ve ony physically used it for just over an hour today.
Once the phone has settled down, it might be useful to test the different wallpaper types on the AOD. I'm convinced that the gorgeous astronomy wallpaper would use more power - it doesn't seem to dim that much.

I do love the battery of the max models though - I'm the kind of person that can't understand why anyone could possibly let their phone get into the red power zone..... I tend to never let mine get lower than 50% ever. Most days I'm above 60% at the end of the day.

Perfect, just tried that number, all sorted in 13 minutes. She pushed through the payment to a different bank account while on the phone (didn't give her the details just updated on the website) - though it hasn't shown just yet but she said it would take a working day, so expect it Tuesday now.
