I’m taking the gamble this year by checking store stock daily rather than order via apple website… will update as and when and if I do get my hands on a PM

Do both, can cancel the .com Order if you find one in store. Given the current dates I’d expect you would

Do MM payout on a Sunday? Used the kiosk around 11 and still haven’t heard anything from them.

Quick question … I had Apple Watch sale in my basket at MM but it’s disappeared! .. no matter, starting the order again but wondering if anyone has a code maybe? .. I used UPGRADE22 for my phone (which I ended up selling to my neighbour instead) so it won’t let me use that one. Thanks

Create a new mm account and use the upgrade22 code. If you’re a gmail user you can just add an extra ‘.’ To your address and it will work without you needing a new Mail account.

Eg if your email was Tim.cook@gmail.com you can have as many dots as you want and it still works to the same account. So Tim.c.ook@gmail or even Tim.cook+mm@gmail would all work

Without knowing how much you've used the phone, I'd say that's probably lower than where I'd be with the 13PM. Considering you were asleep for a big chunk of that time (I assume) that means you've used 46% in around 5 hours of awake time? I charged my 14PM to 94% last night at 11pm. I'm currently on 58% with about 3.5 hours of screen active time.

To give you an idea, on the 13PM, I'd go from around 85% at 8/9am to about 25-30% by about 10pm in the evening. And that was with mid-to-heavy use.

Edit: again, as others have said, it's worth giving the phone a few days to stabilise etc. before judging the battery.
Interesting to get your thoughts. I set this up as a new iPhone so it shouldn’t be downloading anything from iCloud or indexing anymore should it?

I should note I also have patchy Wi-Fi in my bedroom so iPhone is searching for Wi-Fi then will switch to 5G and if connection is strong enough will go back to Wi-Fi which I think could explain the poorer than expected battery. Hoping the power line adapters arriving tomorrow will fix this. For now I’ve turned off Wi-Fi.

Edit: can you tell I’m a newbie lol. Can’t figure out how to delete the duplicate comment earlier in the thread.

How’s everyone getting on with the battery life on their 14 Pro? I found it pretty bad yesterday. Today however so far it seems much better even with AOD still on…

Did feel like it went down quick but it’s expected the first week I’d say. I’ll judge it with my normal usage and not when I’m playing around with it every 5 mins!

I would also say it is inevitable that it will go down quicker if the battery is the same size and AOD will be impacting it if only a little bit.

Yeah the wi-fi thing could be impacting battery life, for sure. Regarding the setting up as a new iPhone - I think there's still some learning and adjusting the phone does in the first few days (I may be talking out of my **** though, I'll let those more knowledge chime in here haha).

Haha, not to worry! You can't delete comments on Macrumors - just edit the comment and put a full stop, that seems to be the established way of deleting a comment

Prob a little too early to tell but I have AOD off and this is my screen time today, and I’m at 75% as I type. Taken off charge, 100% at 7am

I don’t think that’s too bad. Obviously if we are sat on our phones for hours we are gonna notice the battery % drop often and think the battery life is worse

You both have a point what with us all playing with our phones more often than the casual user. I was definitely using it more yesterday gazing at its 2000 nits display in the blazing sunshine 😂

I’ve only just got my apps sorted and all downloaded. Keep playing about with layouts and trying to minimise home screens.

Not looked at dynamic lock screens yet!

Has anyone noticed EE now sell different 5G speed packs?

I noticed ‘Excellent’ and ‘the best’

We are on a 5G Sim Unlimited plan, and just wondering what we might be on

I have tracked that but it seems to be the tracking number of the Rebuy parcel sent to me. Last known update was 12:43 when it says delivered to me
Isn’t because the way rebuy works, it’ll be classed as return to sender?

I’m just guessing.

I spotted that. Very disappointing that they are putting caps on at the same time as jacking up the prices of sim only.

excellent is max 100Mbps
the best is no max

a quick speedtest will give an idea of what you might be on

Anyone have experience with cancelling AppleCare + (no claims) if the protection plan was purchased in store with physical gift cards?

It worked in the end. Took around 20 minutes in total. Only had to press try again once. Also got offered the quote price for my iPhone 11 Pro Max.
I managed to put 2 iPhones through and got the expected amount. However, I’ve now had a bounced payment message.

That's a good shout, I think they've tried to be different by allowing the wallpaper to show unlike Android but perhaps not thought about the impact to battery life... I'm keeping it on for now to get a true representation of battery life with AOD and hope that they add some customisation options in the future.
Not using AOD I don’t know so excuse my ignorance. Would it be possible to use a pitch black screen as the wallpaper of AOD?
