What model are you getting?

we use a similar product from halifax. Can't fault it to be fair. We have it for the AA, but the fact it covers our phones is a bonus. Sure, I couldn't walk into a apple store and get a screen replaced, but I am happy to save the £20 a month, since it covers us both. The last time we used it was 4 years ago for my wife's 8+. We have both has 11s for 3 years and never needed to claim. That is not a small saving.
Yeah exactly - that's money in your pocket rather than Apple's!

I have a question. I took out a 128 go pro on the Barclays payments and I’ll be honest, I’m not loving the battery life on it.

If I take it back, I assume they will cancel the loan and then I can apply again for a max when available?

Cheers!
Yes I have just done the same with the online chat tonight got to send them phone back in 5 days and says agreement will be cancelled and if any money paid it will be refunded.

A pro 13?

The touch points on the pro once you have been used to a max takes a bit of getting used to. But it’s nice to be able to get away with using one hand.
Yeah I had the 13PM but swapped with my brother for his 13 Pro to trade it in.

That's the thing - I wasn't using the Pro one-handed. I still had to use two hands. I can scroll one handed on both phones. If I was typing, I was using both hands because it's more comfortable that way on either phone. So I found that the 'benefits' of the Pro were lost on me.

Having had the Plus/Max models since the 6 Plus, I could never go back. I do a fair amount of media intake so benefit from the bigger screen, got to the point that I find the smaller screens pretty much unusable now.

eg Showing “the mothership” how to do something on her iPhone 8 and now I understand why she can’t read anything on it

I think we need a 16.2 for it to start getting less buggy.
Even 16.1 appears to be very buggy on iPhone 14.
I expect the next beta build (or maybe the one after) to be a significant size for the 14s, given that there's so much to fix.

I had an 8 Plus (which I loved), then an iPhone X, then went to a standard 12, then to an 13 PM and then 14 PM. I don't think I'd go smaller now.

So who else is frantically trying their local stores tomorrow to change from a Pro to a Pro Max?! Belfast store for me, fingers crossed. Likely change from SB to Silver if I can too
Me, been checking since Friday tbh as I went to my local store and they had no units to swap out. Got a sweet deal in the end though, sold my pre order of the silver 256GB pro to my dad so I can just start fresh. Hoping to get the max purple 256GB but yeah I’m not feeling too optimistic given the dates on apple website direct…

Very much the other way for me. Forever had the smaller phone but nowadays my phone is THE thing I use the most (only thing tbh) got a MacBook etc but don’t really use it. Tried an iPad few months back but couldn’t justify that I done everything I do on my iPhone on it so that went back. Safe to say I keep getting attracted to the PM the size… the screen I want!

I bought the 14 pro in black but ended up returning it due to a scratch/chip? that I noticed just above the dynamic island. It wasn’t super bad but like it would reflect light and I can see that annoying me.

So returned it but the Apple Store didn’t have any replacements or anymore in stock. So need to wait now til October according to the website.

Did you switch to the pro from a PM this year? I was thinking about doing that next year as my PM is feeling very big in my jeans pocket, it’s kind of annoying.
I did for that very reason, it’s nice to consume content and surf the web on it but it’s undeniably big so this year I wanted a change. I may go back to PM next year if they put it on a diet (unlikely as it is).

I use my iPad for everything anyway so I doubt i will find the smaller screen more annoying. It is possibly going to happen next year.

14 Pro Max

Midnight - 100%
8/9am - 96% (or so!)
10:30pm - 25%

7h 13m screen time. Win.

Anyone regret upgrading? Buyers remorse? All ready returned?
I think I can only recall seeing one person in this thread change their mind, but that person has a long-established track record of flip-flapping on iPhone decisions so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Largely everyone seems to be happy with their new phones, or excited that they’ll be arriving soon 🤠🤠
