What model are you getting?

£25 but CS said it was £326 without AC+

That gives me even more of a reason to never get it. I thought the whole point of paying all that was to get a free warranty and thats why it was being compared to a car warranty.

In that case it’s not comparable to the manufactures warranty I have on my car then as I can just take that and have it fixed for free 🤔

If you don’t want it don’t get it. No one is being forced. Like all insurance if you need it it’s great. If you don’t it’s a waste of money.

Yeah, this. I've got it for the last few years but decided against this year as I always have my phone in a case and screen protector anyway and haven't used it since the XS Max (when I wasn't running a case).

The manufacturer‘s warranty won’t help you once you’ve reversed into a tree.

Thats what insurance is for.

You might be confusing product types here. AppleCare+ is an extended warranty but it’s also an insurance product. And just like car insurance, it has an excess.

Have you ever read the blurb on it?

It covers accidental damage, one policy covers theft and loss too.

Car manufacturers won’t cover your car being stolen or as Azzin said crashed into a tree

That said I think it gives another years warranty too

This is a very sensitive topic 😂😂

If you sell your iPhone after 1 year having paid upfront for 2 years AppleCare+ you get a refund for the remaining period.

Edit: Beaten to it by @Mr.C
I normally get apple care theft and loss but before I do I might look at separate insurance with a bank. Does anyone know if Revolut offer it?

Oyster apparently costs TfL more money than contactless, so can't see them adding something they would prefer you didn't use!

That’s interesting. I didn’t know that. I guess it makes sense why they promote contactless. I can’t see them getting rid of Oyster altogether though.

Small report after 2 full days use.

Haven’t found it much different than my 13PM. Battery life seems to be on par so far.

But glad I upgraded as I love the deep purple colour and the dynamic island.

This may be my eyes but the screen looks to be a little bit more colourful than the 13. Only slightly but something I’ve noticed.

Overall very happy with no complaints.

What about the always on display. What’s your opinion on that.

And me. Hopefully the £ arrives t

They were probably being bombarded with phones on Fri/ Sat/ Sun hence the long wait times so all should be good. Although they did tell me processed next working day so I am kind of expecting the payment Wednesday.

They used to offer device insurance but it doesn’t seem like they do it anymore. Might be as @Azzin says.

My wife and I have a joint nationwide account, for £13 (for both of us, not each) we get travel and phone insurance, and breakdown cover with AA. It’s a really good deal

So who else is frantically trying their local stores tomorrow to change from a Pro to a Pro Max?! Belfast store for me, fingers crossed. Likely change from SB to Silver if I can too

I’ll bet the phone insurance is nowhere near as efficient or convenient as AC+ tho?

She sounds like a great match for my son. He broke the screen of his 12 Pro Max about a month ago, then the back a week ago. Both replaced under AppleCare+.

If I had kids I would never let them have such expensive phones. I’d give them one of those old style dumb phones. Here you go as you only need it to make phone calls.

I am going to be buying a pro for a gift for a relative now. I may have a look in the morning but it’s no rush, might end up just joining the online queue for simplicity.
