If you don’t want it don’t get it. No one is being forced. Like all insurance if you need it it’s great. If you don’t it’s a waste of money.
The manufacturer‘s warranty won’t help you once you’ve reversed into a tree. That gives me even more of a reason to never get it. I thought the whole point of paying all that was to get a free warranty and thats why it was being compared to a car warranty.
In that case it’s not comparable to the manufactures warranty I have on my car then as I can just take that and have it fixed for free 🤔

Thats what insurance is for.
You might be confusing product types here. AppleCare+ is an extended warranty but it’s also an insurance product. And just like car insurance, it has an excess. That gives me even more of a reason to never get it. Have you ever read the blurb on it?I always thought AC+ was like a premium warranty not phone insurance
Have you ever read the blurb on it?
It covers accidental damage, one policy covers theft and loss too.
Car manufacturers won’t cover your car being stolen or as Azzin said crashed into a tree
That said I think it gives another years warranty too
£559 for a rear screen replacement without AC+.£389 for a screen replacement without AppleCare +.
It’s more just at least read what the product offers before formulating opinions on it?This is a very sensitive topic 😂😂
I normally get apple care theft and loss but before I do I might look at separate insurance with a bank. Does anyone know if Revolut offer it?If you sell your iPhone after 1 year having paid upfront for 2 years AppleCare+ you get a refund for the remaining period.
Edit: Beaten to it by @Mr.C
£719 for a replacement if it’s considered beyond repair.£559 for a rear screen replacement without AC+.
Also, do remember that AC+ now comes with unlimited claims…
And me. Hopefully the £ arrives tI phoned that number on Saturday to process my payment again, so did @Saladin12
They’re not a U.K. bank (yet), but they do offer it (although I’m not sure if it’s only for when you are travelling).I normally get apple care theft and loss but before I do I might look at separate insurance with a bank. Does anyone know if Revolut offer it?
Oyster apparently costs TfL more money than contactless, so can't see them adding something they would prefer you didn't use!

Small report after 2 full days use.
Haven’t found it much different than my 13PM. Battery life seems to be on par so far.
But glad I upgraded as I love the deep purple colour and the dynamic island.
This may be my eyes but the screen looks to be a little bit more colourful than the 13. Only slightly but something I’ve noticed.
Overall very happy with no complaints.
And me. Hopefully the £ arrives t
They used to offer device insurance but it doesn’t seem like they do it anymore. Might be as @Azzin says.I normally get apple care theft and loss but before I do I might look at separate insurance with a bank. Does anyone know if Revolut offer it?
I’ll bet the phone insurance is nowhere near as efficient or convenient as AC+ tho? They used to offer device insurance but it doesn’t seem like they do it anymore. Might be as @Azzin says.
My wife and I have a joint nationwide account, for £13 (for both of us, not each) we get travel and phone insurance, and breakdown cover with AA. It’s a really good deal
She sounds like a great match for my son. He broke the screen of his 12 Pro Max about a month ago, then the back a week ago. Both replaced under AppleCare+.
So who else is frantically trying their local stores tomorrow to change from a Pro to a Pro Max?! Belfast store for me, fingers crossed. Likely change from SB to Silver if I can too
