Well in the end when MM works, it does just that!

So after Wednesday's dismal performance of visiting my 2 closest Asda stores with Smart Drop Kiosks, only for both of them to be in some way out of order, I went back to one today. It was working and the whole process was done in not much over 5 minutes and the full quoted price was paid (to be fair if MM had a 'As New' category it could have passed for that rather than just their 'good' as there wasn't a mark on it, even hairline from what i could see). £800 total for a 512gb 13PM to show that re-saving quotes works nicely :).

I saved a quote with them on the 24th Aug (Far Out event announcement day) for £780 + a £10 voucher. Added it to my basket 13 days later (didn't want to risk some sort of mid way through the day cut off on the 14th day), removed the £10 voucher and replaced it with 'UPGARDE22' for the £20 bonus, but the just re-saved rather than proceeding to checkout. Left it there for another 13 days until Monday when i proceeded through the checkout, and on what, day 5 of my 21 days to get it to them, the Kiosk worked a treat. After the pain shared on here re BACS over the weekend i went for PayPal and the money was in my account 5-10 minutes later. Just checked the offer price on MM today and its down to £612 from the £780! (That said Rebuy look to still be offering £758 for an 'As New' phone, but I'm guessing much more of a chance of someone else not seeing it as that). And even on eBay the realistic going rate only looks to be £850-900 (minus fees and postage) ish from recent sales, I'll sell the box etc on there to recoup some of the difference, but happy to lose a bit of money to avoid the jeopardy that inherently comes with eBay (not that I've ever had an issue, but there's always a first time).

So anyway, lets hope that trick still works next year (probably shouldn't have posted this ;)).
I've already started saving mine for next year!!! Lol....!

Wooo they're here

Does anyone know if AC+ covers you if you lose the device outside the UK?
Also does AC cover you if you in another country, ie: smash screen in the US and take to a US store?

AirPods Pro 2 picked up and the first test is my commute home. Sat at Manchester Piccadilly station and the noise cancelling is insane compared to the 1st gens; the sound definitely is a bit fuller too.

My Watch S6 is on its way to Music Magpie, not a mark on it, photographed from every angle and wrapped as if it were a faberge egg. Will report back what happens when they receive it.

In other news Amazon have emailed to say AirPods Pro 2 will be delivered tomorrow 24th Sept.
I’ve just sent my S6 to them today also. What did they offer you?

Anyone got any real world usage reviews for the AirPods Pro? What's the ANC like and how much better is the sound quality? Thanks.

Am I right in assuming the actual screen size of the Watch Ultra isn’t much bigger, if at all, than the S8?

yeah its worldwide cover so would have assumed it covers everything your policy does internationally.

Answered my own question (I was right!):

45mm
396 x 484 pixels
1,143 sq mm display area

49mm
410 x 502 pixels
1,164 sq mm display area

See my post on last page. Currently on my usual train commute so they’ve been thrown in at the deep end straight away.

In short: ANC definitely a fair bit better, sound is definitely a bit fuller.

iPhone 13 Pro traded in at a Music Magpie kiosk. Very very impressive service.

Only hitch was that my offer was lowered by £38 because I’d supposedly gone over the 21 days. Checked my emails and it was 15 days max, so I rang the support number on the machine, and the lady apologised and promised if I accepted that they’d send the different in a separate payment. She sent an email to confirm that too.

Got the first payment into my PayPal within 2 mins so hopefully the other £38 isn’t far behind but honestly just much happier doing that instead of sending the phone by mail.
