...well done for sticking to your guns and not allowing this thread to wrongly influence you (I did the same as you) !!!!!
and if you're adamant you don't want them, prepare to have your mind changed! In this group it is
It's the rules set by @Jinjin
- If you need them get them bought
- If you don't need them, get them bought
but after 3 years, those tiny batteries in them must be in need of replacing soon? trade in with CEX whilst the price is decent and the cost of change it smaller than expected... like you said previously... you're not spending money, you're SAVING money!

I've been away for the past couple of weeks so asked for my 14 Pro to be delivered to a DPD pickup point. Picked it up today and opened up the iPhone box to find the phone had been stolen in transit.
Apple have told me I have to file a police report and send pictures, which I have done, but it could take 7-10 business days to be resolved which is a bit disappointing as I'll have to wait at least that long to get my new phone.
Has anyone had anything like this in the past?
Yeah i got the awaiting payment email now. Payments made around 10pm it says.Just this moment got my email for payment.
It was collected Wednesday so hope yours is due shortly too!
See - logic prevails!!!but after 3 years, those tiny batteries in them must be in need of replacing soon? trade in with CEX whilst the price is decent and the cost of change it smaller than expected... like you said previously... you're not spending money, you're SAVING money!

Got my preorder cancelled by Curry's the day before launch and don't want to wait till end of October
Waiting for a Silver PM 128 or 256 to show up in Belfast
There really is no point in stealing iPhones when it’s so easy to block themWow. I'm sorry! I hope Apple can at least brick the phone that was stolen.

Doesn’t work well with MagSafe, it’s quite thick. Will give it a few days.

Is this compatible with MagSafe? - sorry just saw the comment. It is a no for me. I can understand to protect a phone, watch etc. but on the contrary I keep the AirPods case protection free and the damage is minor...It’s arrived the case Jinjin mentioned this morning.

No, it was from a DPD pickup place. What a nightmare - was it from a locker? I ask because I sometimes use Parcelshop lockers and a few times they used to open with someone else's parcel already stored inside. Would be very easy to steal in that instance.
Was it also obvious from the brown outer box?
Doesn't conenct, only just about connects with magsafe. The other thing is no cut out for the light on the front.thanks for the heads up!
shame it doesn't do well with MagSafe! how does it go with the Apple Watch charger (if you've got one to hand?)
it might have to do as a temp case until the big guns get theirs out
hm, might cancel mine before it ships!Doesn't conenct, only just about connects with magsafe. The other thing is no cut out for the light on the front.
this one should be hush hush in case anyone from MM is reading 😂Well in the end when MM works, it does just that!
So after Wednesday's dismal performance of visiting my 2 closest Asda stores with Smart Drop Kiosks, only for both of them to be in some way out of order, I went back to one today. It was working and the whole process was done in not much over 5 minutes and the full quoted price was paid (to be fair if MM had a 'As New' category it could have passed for that rather than just their 'good' as there wasn't a mark on it, even hairline from what i could see). £800 total for a 512gb 13PM to show that re-saving quotes works nicely.
I saved a quote with them on the 24th Aug (Far Out event announcement day) for £780 + a £10 voucher. Added it to my basket 13 days later (didn't want to risk some sort of mid way through the day cut off on the 14th day), removed the £10 voucher and replaced it with 'UPGARDE22' for the £20 bonus, but the just re-saved rather than proceeding to checkout. Left it there for another 13 days until Monday when i proceeded through the checkout, and on what, day 5 of my 21 days to get it to them, the Kiosk worked a treat. After the pain shared on here re BACS over the weekend i went for PayPal and the money was in my account 5-10 minutes later. Just checked the offer price on MM today and its down to £612 from the £780! (That said Rebuy look to still be offering £758 for an 'As New' phone, but I'm guessing much more of a chance of someone else not seeing it as that). And even on eBay the realistic going rate only looks to be £850-900 (minus fees and postage) ish from recent sales, I'll sell the box etc on there to recoup some of the difference, but happy to lose a bit of money to avoid the jeopardy that inherently comes with eBay (not that I've ever had an issue, but there's always a first time).
So anyway, lets hope that trick still works next year (probably shouldn't have posted this).
