Re: being charged £5.49 forAppleCare+ on the AW Ultra, received a call back this morning to say they have corrected a back end systems issue, my original plan was cancelled, refund issued and I was able to take out a new plan this afternoon for £4.99 with no issues.

In other news I mentioned a few pages back that John Lewis are giving 3 month free Apple Fitness trial to MyJohnLewis rewards app (free to join loyalty scheme) - essentially 2 months extra trial on top of the normal 1 month. It disappeared a couple of days ago whilst they were refreshing the offers but is back on the app today so I just redeemed it and got free access until 28 December. Now to use it!!!

looks like 16.1 removed the need for people to own a watch to use it too... I have it under apple One and share with the family, but up till now missus can't use (doesn't own a watch). now will be able to stick it on the Apple TV etc and do the classes she wanted

lovely moral to the story!

avoiding any form of customer service is my general aim with consumer retail... I honestly don't see any value-add any more.

I'm on a similar EE tariff to a number of you, one which ends next month (think a lot of us signed up Black Friday when 5G was a new thing?!)

200GB/month Max speeds
1 smart benefit
for £25/month

that includes the ability to roam and use existing data etc without add ons.

I can't see me changing that anytime soon.
I have just logged back on to EE and it seems things are returning to near normal.

They have reverted my plan and contract end details and sort of re-added the benefits. The only difference seems to be they have given me Apple One as a smart benefit and refunded me £5 month for it and added BT sport has another benefit. Oh and with RPI it had gone up to £47 form £41 and it seems to have reverted to £41.

I won't hold my breath though

argh, in the time I was typing here I missed out on one in Bromley!
Pretending to join the IUP is honestly the fastest way. Been trying to get a PM everyday for the past 3 days on the Apple website and failed miserably. Tried the IUP way on the app and secured one to pick up today!

Is this open to anyone, or just watch purchasers?

what i did was to turn off auto-lock on my iphone with location services on and kept the app store page open ready to choose color and size. at the same time i had my computer screen showing me live availability. as soon as it appeared, quickly chose specifications and checked out on my phone

I don’t have a watch anymore, but might be useful to others here…

So it appears that YT have changed their sign up process and you now need a Mastercard or a Visa card, that is registered in the local country you‘re trying to sign up to. ☹️
Found this on Reddit…

ULPT: Get YouTube Premium for 0.87 €/$ via Argentina by using a VPN (e.g. VPN.lat). You only need it once when subscribing, using your Credit Card and a random Argentinian address. Afterwards, you can easily use YT with your main account and NO VPN.

**Tutorial:**

1. Use a VPN and connect to ARGENTINA. Use e.g. VPN.lat (free) or Tunnelbear (trial).
2. Open an incognito tab in your browser.
3. Login to [YouTube](https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiq0ZWV3tj5AhUYs6QKHSc7D3UQFnoECAYQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fpremium&usg=AOvVaw18NgVIcwKN95sh8GyYWYA_).
4. Subscribe to Premium (you should see the ARS price) and/or use the trial first.
5. When paying, enter a new credit/debit card (remove the existing one if you want to use it). Enter the Argentinian **Billing** Address there! You can choose a random address via Google Maps. Make sure to correctly enter the zipcode and province! (Maybe it’s also necessary for your Google account - for me, this was not the case)
6. Finalize and confirm the payment and subscription.
7. Done. You can now disconnect from the VPN and check YT Premium in your subscription list.

**If, for some reasons, it doesn’t work for you, try creating a new Google account and firstly add your main account to your family group. Afterwards, follow the tutorial for the newly created account! Choose the family plan in that case.** You get all the Premium features for your main account, no worries.

- I recommend the family plan for up to 5 more members - it‘s about 1.30 €/$.
- Do it via browser, not the app!
- Make sure you are using a proper Argentinian address. Use Google Maps for that, e.g. a café or sth.
- ONLY change the billing address, not your normal (Google) address

- You‘ll get all Premium features, like no ads, Music & Movies, downloads, PiP, etc.
- You can use your main account for that - no need to create a new one
- You have absolutely NO restrictions and only need the VPN once when subscribing. You‘re then billed monthly as if you have a „regular“ subscription.
- VPN.lat is a free, easy to use VPN app for your phone. This is the easiest option and one that definitely works.
- The whole process doesn’t even take 5 minutes.

It feels like everything is a major hassle these days dealing with most businesses. EE fluffed up some changes for me a couple of years back when I nearly went back on contract. Promised they had the phones coming and then major delays. They had to reverse my order but missed the discounts I had (that were set up weirdly a few years prior)/

I was looking at sim only tariffs last night and have to say that the O2 smart benefits or what ever they are called are much better than EE (for me anyway). I totally like to add YouTube Premium to my tariff as currently paying £15.99 a month for it. Hugely grudge it but use a lot and once you go ad free it is painful to go back.
Where are you seeing YouTube Premium on O2, I can't find it!

I would also be very interested in this as I agree with you the £15.99 a month is big payment for adfree, but there is no way I'm cancelling it as the ads on there do my nut in.
