This year it was the Wednesday. Are we thinking going back to Tuesday?

Can’t believe how many more comments there are in this thread compared to last years and we were using last years until the 7th September this year.
Wasn't it only on the Wednesday this year because of some holiday in America being on the Monday though?

Labor Day was the 5th so suppose they need Tuesday to do finishing touches like changing out all promo of pill and hole and replace with digital island!!!
So probably back to Tuesday next year which gives more wait time to preorder. Prefer the Wednesday then less time to wait!!

I agree. You have to live with it for a few days at least. Only then can you make an informed decision.

The funny thing with the max is that for the same text size setting, the text on the max is no bigger than the normal pro. I was surprised by this and assumed I would get bigger text on the max. The advantage of the max of course though is that for a given text size you get more on the screen which I prefer
The pixel density is the same, if not similar. But I was thinking I’d increase the text size and get a similar amount to my 12 Pro
Did mine after the disruption in the Spring, I have an older APC Smart UPS 1500 with the additional battery unit. Replacing the old batteries was very straight forward and Amazon supplied genuine replacements at a good price. Went from about 30 mins with everything running full belt to 174 mins. If I power down everything non essential we can have just wifi running for a good long while.
The jetboil and camping stove take care of the essentials.

Funnily enough, I was looking at a UPS last night. Doesn’t need to last long, just long enough to safely shut down my NAS drives.
I am looking at a new UPS as I run a smart home - everything is automatic from the lights on when we enter a room to music following me around the house. Obviously, in a power cut I don't need that, but the tech sits on a beefy docker server running numerous containers that talk together. Not a show stopper to turn them off, but I would prefer to do it gracefully as if one doesn't come up cleanly or is corrupted it can cause a whole world of pain for me.
My current UPS will keep my server up for about 5 mins - need at least 20 to first 'weather the storm' if it is a temporary outage, then cleanly shutdown after 10 or so mins.

Back on topic, I have 3 nice battery packs that will keep my phone charged so that will last a few days and we are 'only' talking about 2-3 hours a day. Lol, can't believe in 2022 I am just accepting that we may have no power during the day....

My home alarm system is mostly wireless and battery powered, with the main unit having a built in battery with backup mobile connectivity.
