Yeah using the midnight braided with the space black stainless steel. Which they did a darker black as the midnight looks a dark navy.
Love the comfort of them though. The Hermes strap is too nice to just wear around the house working from home

I’m not interested in upgrading either right now so I’m all good.
I’m on the lookout to upgrade Mac mini M1 8Gb. Just depends what configs they release if any.
I have also have a Mac Mini M1 but it’s not my main computer. My main one is a Windows gaming laptop which I use far more. My iPad is an 11” Pro model from about four years ago but it doesn’t really get used that much. Plus it’s still going strong.
So I have no need to upgrade either. Not to mention I’ve already spent a lot of money between the 14 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods Pro 2 plus a few accessories.
I have all 3, my favourite is the alpine band, best fit and feels really nice. Ocean band I like because it’s easy to adjust and doesn’t have titanium lugs so makes the Watch look smaller. Trail loop is very comfy and can barely feel it.

My main daily driver is a MacBook Pro M1 14”.
My work laptop is a Dell Latitude (supplied by the company I work for) I do nothing personal on this.
My Macmini basically runs Plex and iMazing and a few other applications. My sister lives in Montreal so I drop everything into Plex for her. Also have a friend in Florida who i do the same for. So would be nice for a bit more power and RAM for additional transcoding.
I also have a cloud server with IONOS running Ubuntu. This is basically web, email and file serving for the various businesses my wife has!! I got this so we didn’t rely too much on a home server which used to be my default. But changing IP addresses and reliability got in the way for it to be good enough for a business.
Throw in an iPad Air 4 2021!!

For anybody interested in the XtremeSkins and what the Textured Matt ones look like. I love the grip!
There’s a tiny gap on the power button side that I need to fix (if you pull before the curve of the phone and then put it down it stretches just enough!)
Edit: I chose not to add the skin around the camera bump because I like the look of the deep purple against the black.

Back after a couple weeks with my new gadgets!
The 14 Pro is great, but honestly nothing has wowed me in the last few years, so it's sort of business as usual now. I am really enjoying the 48mp RAW photos though! if you get good light, and know how to edit them well in Lightroom, I am getting photos that rival my mid-range DSLR.
I am REALLY enjoying my Series 8 watch. I went from the 40mm Series 4 to the 45mm Series 8 and I can't believe I always assumed the larger watch would look too big. I'm very impressed.
My only worry so far is with the Leather Link band I got with the watch. The shorter side is very very tight when trying to get it on and off the actual watch, and as a result, the leather is starting to fray already, see photo. I contacted Apple support and they're calling back tomorrow to discuss.
Has anyone ever had an issue like this before, and did they swap it pretty easy? I'd almost be tempted to ask to swap it for a braided solo loop (same price) as honestly I think I prefer my old Leather Loop band more, it's less bulky, and the "midnight" colour of the Link is way more blue looking than any Apple photo makes it look. What are my chances of a swap?

The website reads like it allows you to do a lot of what iCloud offers without going near iCloud. I can see where some people might like that facility!
