I noticed that www.mobiles.co.uk is considerably cheaper than the equivalente Vodafone deal for PM going directly to Vodafone. Same for the other networks. How is that possible? Like £70 vs £35 a month for the same deal. Can’t be true right?

They buy bulk tariffs. Notice the calls and mms charge being relatively higher than if direct. Sometimes doesn’t include roaming and such too and is a bare basic plan.

That’s what I have. Is fab and just does the job.
It depends on the usage who it suits. I use mine mainly for YouTube and some keynote stuff. All other heavy lifting is on the MBP.

I agree. They’ll work out that it’s a loophole and get rid of it. Hold off until mid-August. You’ll still get a very fair price.

Saw the launch of the new iPads yesterday as I’ve been eyeing one up to replace my very outdated iPad Air 2.

Soon as I saw the prices and lack of updates (once I’d finished laughing/crying/being sick) I bought a 2021 iPad Pro from Argos nearby. It’ll definitely work for my needs and escape the horrible price jumps

The only downside is no actual recording feature like sky glass, not everything yet is available on a stream after it's been shown and until it is (and has more than 1 week of being available) I'll stick to sky Q - either that or have to change when the tree across from me gets larger (dish already on the top of the biggest pole they have!)

I thought I’d read that you can click *save to cloud* and retrieve later to watch.

Just made my wife finally sign up for her free trials via the Barclays finance offer. Apple Arcade and TV+ just in time for my two week work trip, via Family Sharing - what a great feature 😊

Exactly the position I was in .. turned out that I couldnt care less about the ability to use the camera on the iPad but I do need a better camera for all the teams meetings I do since the pandemic so the Air will be perfect. I got a refurb M1 MacBook Air for any ‘heavy stuff’ a year or so back so just don’t need the power of the Pro at all.
The only remaining question for me is whether having 2 speakers instead of 4 will be an issue .. I won’t know until I test it out and tbh don’t watch a lot on my ipad and if i want decent sound I just pop my shiney new AirPods in!

I’ve got a 2018 12.9” Pro with an Apple Magic Keyboard case thing, don’t think I’ll be changing.

I have a 2018 11” Pro and was thinking of replacing it but together with the fact the new ones have lacklustre upgrades and the fact that I mainly use it for watching catch-up TV while eating dinner I can’t really justify it.
