Happy anniversary! Sorry to hear about your pup ☹️
She was my first ever pet and gave us 12 years of joy and love.

I’m normally on hols for the iPhone launches (didn’t want to go this year as our doggie was old and sick and she did pass a couple of weeks ago), here’s a pic of me right now.

We’re on a spa day for our wedding anniversary. 🥂

Sorry to hear about your dog. We lost our little girl after 13 years 8 months about 9 months ago and although we still have her brother who is now 14 and a bit, we miss her everyday. As you say though thankful for the sheer joy in those 13 odd years she gave us.

Edit: Happy anniversary!

Lol I love your accounting :)

My wife would say:

"So you spent £1199 on a phone, paid £199 for insurance, got £680 for it 11 months later so lost £519 in the last year, and spent £98 on insurance. At least you paid off the £600 debt you had left. So you want to take out another £1500 loan this year?"

If you had paid £1199 for it upfront you would have not made a profit of £184, but lost £519 lol in depreciation.

However, that is exactly how I would sell the iPhone 15 to her :)
well i am £180 better off than if i just handed Apple my iPhone back and upgraded, better £180 in my pocket than theirs

I won't bother posting in future if i am just going to get slagged off, obviously it's not profit just £180 better off
ah don't take it as a personal dig and you've nailed it with the fact you are better off than just handing the phone back to apple. I've justified many a purchase this way... its never how much you spend but how much you save :D

I can't even remember if apple still promote the iPhone Upgrade Programme anymore? I think this forum has saved us all a significant chunk of money over the years with the tricks and hints.

Don’t take offence, I’m sure it was just light hearted banter. We ALL try to justify the vast amount of money we spend on Apple products. Hell, I have even convinced myself that Apple are doing me a special favour.

Anyone have any experience adding a line to EE?

A couple of weeks ago I was going to add a simo to my account for my daughter and it was all working fine. Decided to hang fire as we were going away.

I’ve just gone to do it and now it’s saying I can’t add it to my account. I’ve been told I can have 5 lines and only have 2 at present! Tried phoning but was on hold for forever!

Thanks

Open a chat and tell them to reset your My EE account and EE app.

It happens if you keep poking around.

I bet its also not giving you the option to early upgrade any of you other lines.

Something wrong text appears on app.

I have eight lines Eeek!!! Damn family and all their devices. Saying that two are being cancelled in a couple of months as the daughter goes to Uni and she wants to be finically dependant.

EE just send off a request to the credit team, they approve or deny the additional line. I found out a while ago, you have an internal EE available credit, which again they can review.

Sounds like you need to down to the problem about having two lines and EE think you have five.

Guys I think I may have just stumbled across something I shouldn't have seen

I was just checking out some sim-only contracts and came across this holding page from iD Mobile.

Seemingly confirms the lineup this year is: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max. No mention of the rumoured iPhone 15 Ultra. Does this also maybe suggest that the iPhone 15 lineup will in fact be eSim-only here in the UK this year? 🤔

There never was a Ultra by the sounds of it

I've just switched my sim to VOXI, who don't yet do eSIM.

Starting to think this might've been an error... at least if it is eSIM only, there's no minimum term.

Interesting.

It doesn’t say that the 15s will be eSIM only, just that they will only be providing you an eSIM if you get one on a 24 month contract.
Yeah, it could mean absolutely nothing. The thing that is interesting though is I believe they don't currently offer eSim, it is clearly something they're preparing to launch alongside the new iPhone release.

And with Sky starting to offer eSIMs in recent days too it’s looking all the more likely 🤔

I find the e-sim only thing hard to believe

I'd suspect iD Mobile have just prepared their page to go live and will allow for quick easy editing once they have the full details

If the phone was to be solely e-sim in the UK you'd surely expect info on this to had leaked by now
