Glad I'm not always going through this.
If I get the 15PM I will hand my 13PM down to my wife, and her 12Pro down to my daughter, keeping her XS as a spare!

Same thing happens in my family. Devices always get handed down and as no one else has the same level of tech enthusiasm as me they are always very happy with this. It means I make no money back on devices, but keeps the family tech up to date and no stress with the selling options.

Be careful with this, sometimes it gives you small increments and there is a limit to the number of vouchers you can use in a single purchase in the Apple Store or even online, so best bet is to apply the vouchers to your Apple ID Balance and redeem in one go via the online store.
Yeah that's what i did last year, i bought and used about 15 gift cards from asda and added to my Apple ID against my 14PM as there was a 20% off discount via Monese. I just wasn't sure how many codes you can get off Reward gateway in one go

Ill still be using the saved quote when sending in my device to MM.

My saved quote is £725 and current selling price is £700 so not a big difference.

Reflecting on @dbrose ‘s situation i guess the price difference is huge and i guess they don’t want to payout the saved quoted price and are now making excuses which in my opinion is totally bad practice.

Also i think there is no Voucher Code coming any time soon for iPhone 14 line up.

Anyone know how I can get through to MM live chat? I can only find an email option and they take an age to get back to you.

Another question regarding MM...

For figures sake lets say the device is worth £300 'excellent' and £150 'good'

If you send the device in as excellent and they deem it to not be, can they offer above £150 or would it immediately go down to a maximum of £150?

As im thinking wouldn't it just be best to always send it in as excellent then regardless?

Checked out. Roll on Wednesday.

Sent my 13 Pro Max to Twig this morning, let see if they are reputable or also charlatans. The device was virtually pristine and they quoted £606 at checkout, so fingers crossed. Ended up downgrading from iOS 17 to 16 to avoid any hassle.. (thanks everyone!)
Good luck! Im looking at them as an alternative if* my phone returns.

I just tried another one I had locked in for £755 - it is definitely only on SmartDROP it drops but I think they will do the same with RM.

Yeah I can see them not honouring the prices if posted in either. They’ll claim it was a pricing error. Which completely defeats the point of saving quotes.

We all know it’s not a pricing error. They created a new grading option to get round this.

Problem is, with me they didn't even claim it was a pricing error, they just graded my phone as 'good' and gave me less than the going rate for excellent. My phone hadn't been out of its case in a year and had same screen protector applied for the duration too. And then they banned the IMEI from being used at the Kisok!

They have form of doing this to me.

I don’t see an issue with MM re quoting at the current price. If people weren’t exploiting the process by saving orders 6-7 months in advanced then they wouldn’t need to.

Hi Sal! Slowly re-joining the hype thread ahead of tomorrow’s event! Great to see so many familiar names popping up again!! Can’t wait!!

Quick Q on selling to MM - I saved my iPhone 14Pro 256gb two weeks ago for £710 at a good rating.

Will they not honour that now there is an excellent category?

Worth me creating a new order although they offering £700 for an excellent right now. Did you have a voucher?

Cheers!

I’m sorry but are people seriously getting annoyed that MM are responding to a clear loophole people have used for years lol. You literally have to delete the item and re-add it, it clearly isn’t intended behaviour.

I find it a bit nuts you’d email the CEO about it tbh

My guess is that the 128gb 15PM will cost £1249 and the 256gb version will cost between £1399- £1409.
I've put away £1300 for it. so if like you £1249 I will be happy and have some left over.

Sorry I disagree it is clearly intended behaviour otherwise only let you save once and be done with it. Not difficult to program.

MM themselves even say you can re-add to your basket and save if you want more time. So, if they didn't want people to use this feature, they shouldn't even offer it.
