Hi all
So a quick UR update from me. I sent my iPhone 14 pro max to them by special delivery on Thursday and it arrived on Friday just before 1pm. I’ve had no update from them at all but have just checked my bank account and have been paid £832 from them. I’ve had no email or communication from them at all as yet but I have been paid! So just adding this feedback into the mix. They have paid out with no problem for me but communication has been poor.

MM themselves even say you can re-add to your basket and save if you want more time. So, if they didn't want people to use this feature, they shouldn't even offer it.

I think they mean once, not continuously for months and months. To me it’s clear what the intended functionality is and we’re using a very crafty loophole. I find it hard to get annoyed about it.

Checked your junk folders too? That's odd if they haven't sent anything at all... but happy you got your money!

This is no loophole, it works and if its not intended then put a limit.

Yeah I’ve been checking my junk folders as I was waiting for a dreaded email telling me why they wouldn’t be paying out. I also did receive the initial confirmation with postage label. In any case it worked out and payment was quick

Think I might take the gamble and send it to UR

I’m sorry but are people seriously getting annoyed that MM are responding to a clear loophole people have used for years lol. You literally have to delete the item and re-add it, it clearly isn’t intended behaviour.

I find it a bit nuts you’d email the CEO about it tbh

Agree

Hi Sal! Slowly re-joining the hype thread ahead of tomorrow’s event! Great to see so many familiar names popping up again!! Can’t wait!!

Quick Q on selling to MM - I saved my iPhone 14Pro 256gb two weeks ago for £710 at a good rating.

Will they not honour that now there is an excellent category?

Worth me creating a new order although they offering £700 for an excellent right now. Did you have a voucher?

Cheers!
Honestly no one knows.

Personally i would send it at £710 and hope for the best lol. But if you are worried they might not honour £710 just use the new order at £700.

No voucher code for iPhone 14 line up so far.

I doubt they added the feature for people to log in every 14 days for 6 months though 😂

I work in software engineering, it is quite obvious they intended the feature to work once and they probably concluded the loophole we found was a rare edge case that 99% of users won't ever be aware of. But to get wound up that they've figured it out makes me laugh!

Yeah I guess I’ll do that - just hope I don’t get downgraded to a good at £595

Yh and it maybe would have gone unnoticed for longer if it wasn’t abused to such extents of people saving orders for 6 months.

Have to agree with this im afraid, 'the customer is always right' springs to mind here which is the most untrue statement of all time, as a customer, the customer is barely ever right

There is nobody sat in MM HQ saying 'we're going to change this to con them out of money'

They are regulated, changes need signing off with directors, any mistakes would need a mass comms sent out to all affected with info - none of this is a 2 minute job

they also can't just click their fingers and change a rule in a split second to try and stop somebody getting paid 'correctly'

I want as much money for my device too don't get me wrong but at the end of the day..!

Now, I do agree that if you were shown a price it should be honoured (obviously if the phone meets the 'excellent/good' criteria)

If it was a pricing error, its no different to when amazon list things at the wrong price and then send out an email explaining why the order is cancelled (Although lets not forget the great amazon iPhone 13(?) discount of 2021!)

But as mentioned above id expect a mass comms email to all affected customers

My 2p worth.

I think MM have realised that more and more people have sussed the flaw in their plan. However, the way they are 'fixing' it is totally wrong.

Just say "Hey you can only now save your quote once" and be done with it. Don't lie about price errors.

I highly doubt the people dealing with the chat are involved in any kind of deception, they're just told what to say. And technically it is a pricing error.

It's a clever loophole but surely we must accept that we've been cheeky for a long time and they've finally sussed it out. To email the CEO is nuts

It is quite obvious though that the intended behaviour was this. People are frankly being a bit silly if they intended for people to save it over and over again. They are a business for goodness sake.

We should be congratulated on our ingenuity but also accept that the game is up. Good times whilst they lasted etc

Wish I had a spare phone so I could just take my to a Kiosk tonight and get the money now haha

Just to add one more thing on this matter.

I read the exchange that was had with the live chat agent and it is clear the they are confused by what is going on. The fact they have said it was a pricing error looks to be just a misunderstanding of the process.

Morality is overrated.
We all use it when it suits us.

Im 100% sure if it had all worked out for @dbrose many on here would have sent their devices to MM using saved order/prices and not using current prices.
And also for future would have started saving orders from Dec 24 etc.

Thats my 2 cents.
