I downgraded my work 16” mbp for the m2 air… more tan capable for work for me. And so much easier to lug around.
Ironically though today, every time I join a teams meeting it crashes!

All settled in working from home with Twitter, MRF, UberEats on the standby for my Starbucks needs. The wife, kids know that today is not the day to ask me to do anything.

This is actually something that I’ve been thinking about the last couple days
Currently on a 2019 MB Pro (Touchbar which I actually like) really don’t use it for anything other than browsing, and I barely do that as I just use my phone
Looking to see how much they’re selling for and considering going onto a new Air - if I decide to I’d still hold out for the 2024 models as it’s not an upgrade I need right now (or even in 2024)
On the other hand like I say, I like the touchbar, I actually think when I look at the newer MacBooks that no longer have it that the keyboards actually look quite old fashioned😅
I got the Apple Music and U2 one wrong. I agree the Apple Music question was a trick question and with the U2 question, I obviously erased all memory of that moment in time.
I also felt the same. Thought I’d miss the touchbar but I absolutely don’t. Haven’t regretted changing to the M2 14” MBP from my old bigger model
It’s a lovely looking laptop but unfortunately not a Pro at the end of the day.
I’m working in Canada this week so will miss all the excitement later as I’ll be in meetings. No WFH for me this year! Hopefully can still get my order in though later and preorder, assuming I think it’s worth it that is. Maybe being busy with work will stop me getting carried away with the hype train and maybe I won’t buy?!
I usually resort to taking off my Apple Watch at that point.... sooo many notifications from Twitter (X) and the like announcing the announcements as they are announced while I'm watching 🤣
There’s no question in my opinion that even the M1 MacBooks (never mind M2) absolutely smoke their Intel predecessors.
Having picked up a 14 Pro a few months ago I’ll probably be sitting this out… Unless there’s a game changer camera wise announced, would love to be able to ditch the SLR (travelling with a little one and camera gear is not the one), but don’t think a periscope lens alone will be enough unless there’s some new much improved sensor trickery. Enjoying the thread though!
That. They do, I was blown away when I first started using it. No comparison in my opinion. Don’t actually know how I put up with my old one for so long 😂
