6 hours and 20 minutes at the time of writing. I'm stuck in a virtual training course and the person leading it is so patronising I've switched off.

I am feeling really excited about the event later on :)

I wish!! Can’t believe this MAY be the first year ever I don’t order one on launch 😞 I know there’s way worse in the world but still
My prediction is £1249 (128GB) and £1399 (256GB). I'll order once i've successfully traded-in/sold my 14PM, so I may not be ordering at launch, too.

Anyone else started the purge...? It's that time of year when I start going through everything I have on my iPhone and getting rid of anything I no longer need or use... first up (although I do it yearly) the back-up of all 14,000 photos on my phone (to a hard drive from iCloud) half of which are from the last year, then I can start deleting without fear of losing anything precious.

I've made a start on the apps, although I discover stuff I haven't touched in a year and convince myself I'll use it more so the volume of apps is rarely reduced... 🤣

Dreading received files in Whatsapp... I always forget how much crud people send me, and how much space it actually consumes.

Hey ho, keeps me occupied (conveniently forgetting I should be working! 😂)

I don't particularly need space, it's good to have a clear-out and makes the upgrade process a little faster/cleaner ;)

New o2 sim has arrived, now to attempt to port the number...Even though you give the PAC code during buying the sim online it never seems to work

Just filled out the online number swap form on o2 and entered the pac code again - apparently this will be done in 1 day 'if all details are okay' ..... which no doubt somehow they won't be

Anyone ported a number to o2 and know how long it takes? (I know they say 1 day but are we talking maybe just a couple hours or an actual day?)
By OFCOM rules it has to be ported within 24 hours. Never had a problem porting my number, Been on EE, 3, O2, Voda and Voxi. My number was original an Orange number from 1995.

Thanks, 1995 impressive!

Always tell myself that 'ill finally get a new number' after having the same for countless years, but then the whole hassle of all the 2FA's linked etc just isn't worth it

Would be nice to have a fresh number though one day

I have a fair few SIM cards for different networks that aren't activated but never ever thought to change my main number. Too much linked to it like you say.

Store is now down

usually do that as a part of setting up the new phone... start it as a fresh and only download what I need

I’m off today anyway.

I’m fitting a new smart lock to our front door.

Either one of these or one of these.

Got a new key barrel coming in 20 mins from Screwfix, as it turns out mine isn’t deep enough and doesn’t protude enough from the door, for the base plate to attach to.

The item in the first link is quite a bit more expensive, so I’m hoping this works. 👀
OT update while we’re twiddling our thumbs…

I have successfully installed the Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro.

However, unless I’m missing something, it’s useless from the outside, as when it unlocks, it appears not to turn the key that last little bit that allows you to actually push the door open.

It certainly turns the key from locked to unlocked, but when doing it manually with a key, you have to turn the key against a bit of resistance at the end of the turn to actually move the lock (if that makes sense?).

I also had to change the lock cylinder to one that stuck out more on the inside, as the base plate couldn‘t attach to the old one.
