Also suffered the app phone number thing. It also defaulted to an address I haven’t used in years, which is bizarre as I’ve placed more recent orders.

Had to order on my laptop which I wasn’t prepared for…

Got a Pro Max 128GB in Space Black for delivery on 26th Sep - 3rd Oct, which I guess isn’t terrible.

Been playing this game for nearly an hour now. App is constantly throwing up errors. All collect slots are gone, only delivery available and that’s 2 weeks after release. Phone number tells me its unable to process my call and hangs up on me. Website doesn’t even recognise that I have a preorder to complete. Text support isn’t replying.

I’m at a total loss what to do :-/

You are not alone with this. I had a nightmare trying to order via the app. The phone number on the shipping address had gone missing for some reason and no matter what I tried to enter I kept getting an “error processing your request. Please try later”. In the end I had to use the web which went through cleanly. Lost 10 to 14 days on the delivery date. Not a first world issue but annoying that the app won’t accept my phone number. Just called tech support and they can’t figure out why either. Never had an issue before.

I had the same issue here where the phone number was showing up as "Red" - I had to keep entering it but it still wouldn't pass that error. In the end I had to choose pickup and it went through.

First time I've had an issue pre-ordering via the app - Couldn't use the website either as that wasn't working fully.

have pick up 16th for both but only seem to have had confirmation of pick up for the case and the money for the case taken... View attachment 2054877

cases are already in stores... you won't get any more updates on your phone now until late 15th or on the day iirc

Yeh second time entered card details manually. The Apple Pay order declined. The other one when entering card details has not declined yet...hoping it goes through!

Well that was a nightmare with Natwest although the preorder was all approved it was declined when I placed the order.

After some frantic moving of money around I got on the phone to Apple and they were great and changed it to the new account and it's all gone through now.

Still got same delivery dates so happy.

have you tried apple.com and a browser... the app has been a ball ache this year for many

Managed to get my Space Black 14PM 256GB for pickup in Leicester Highcross after a few initial issues with my Apple Pay being rejected. (Nothing wrong, think it was just the traffic).

Slightly annoyed that it rejected so many times I ended up with a 12:30pm pickup but better than nothing.

I had a suspicion that pre pre order on the cards would still cause problems today.. the banks will just see another transaction for a huge amount and it will auto flag and stop as it would be out your (I'm assuming) spending patterns.

That's the exact same issue I had, except when I tried switching to the website it wouldn't show my pre-pre-order anywhere. Really frustrating!

Lol yep my preorder wasn’t on the web either so I had to go via the manual order process. Then the website hung so I refreshed and it said the order had been accepted but it didn’t go through my bank verification process.

I'm not talking about buying the iPhone and AppleCare+ on the store app, I'm talking about post iPhone purchase and adding AppleCare+

I don’t know about store credit but you can definitely add AppleCare+ after purchase - see here

yes that a fcuking mess this was, couldnt access my bag for nearly 35 mins, by that time lost out on launch, now got first week oct, thanks apple.
got purple max 512, believe from votes cast so far space black number one.
luckily they didnt mess up the watch launch and went through first minute.

This happened to me already and I ordered at 1:01pm. I have to go back to my orders in the website and update the payment type after I had confirmed with my bank that it was actually me. It seems that it kept my spot in the queue from the order time and not the charging of the card time.

After this whole fiasco with the order process and Barclays finance, is there any possibility to edit the order for in-store pickup? I had originally planned to order for pick-up next Friday, however, I now have a delivery date of October.

Gift cards might be the way going forward, once they loaded you only have to worry about any smaller amounts on a debit/credit card. I only had to pay £350 with Amex and that went through with no flagging
