Slightly confused with the instore pick up dates...

Had everything confirmed with 16th pick up

only money for the case has gone though, and now there's no pick up date in my order, just 'we will notify you/your item will be ready for pick up shortly'

anyone else with in store pick up have this?
 
the fee for not returning my PM 13 512GB to EE with my Anytime Upgrade is now £850!!!!!!!

it was £400 last year and made a nice profit with Music Magpie!!!

By the way, be **very** careful those of you signing up for phone planes in the UK. Most of the them are RPI inflation linked +3.9%, meaning based on current forecasts, your monthly charge may go up by 12-14% early next year. Something to keep in mind when factoring in the costs.
 
That was unusual painful for Apple. 10 mins refreshing the Apple Store app to get past Almost Ready. Once in, iPhone 14 Pro 256GB silver reserved on the iUP at the Trafford Centre on launch day with no bother.

The a further 25 mins trying to buy AirPods Pro 2, endlessly getting stuck and thrown back when trying to progress through checkout. Got there eventually but this was the least Apple-y Apple pre-order/reservation I’ve experienced since joining the cult in 2003. Got there in the end with it all though.

Deed is done. Now we await the camera reviews… and tracking of course!

Legit might be more excited for the 2x noise cancellation improvement on the Airpod Pros

You’re not alone. As someone with Asperger’s/ASD with a low tolerance for noise, 2x noise cancellation relative to my existing Pros is going to be heavenly when worn in the open plan office where I work (alone with my AirPods Max and Bose 700s). Only a fortnight to wait!

You are not alone with this. I had a nightmare trying to order via the app. The phone number on the shipping address had gone missing for some reason and no matter what I tried to enter I kept getting an “error processing your request. Please try later”. In the end I had to use the web which went through cleanly. Lost 10 to 14 days on the delivery date. Not a first world issue but annoying that the app won’t accept my phone number. Just called tech support and they can’t figure out why either. Never had an issue before.
exact same thing as me, expect it lost my pre authorisation for finance, when I finally got through, had to re-do finance, date slipped (annoying but ok) but as I had to re-do finance the order is now stuck on hold.

Pre-ordered on the website and for some reason it went against my other email and not my Apple ID one, so the order doesn't show against my account. Also paid with Apple Pay successfully, but when checking the order status, it shows "We're waiting for your payment".

God knows what's happening.
 
Anyone know what happens if you can't go on the pickup date/time - Would they keep it for X amount of days. For example I would be able to 100% get there on the Saturday or much later in the day on Friday.

Will try and ask Apple when things calm down a bit.
 
reminder that John Lewis have come up trumps for me in the past when it's gone wrong with Apple.

I ordered my blue 12 Pro online on the Launch Day Friday for collection from local Waitrose on Saturday lunchtime - IMO much more reliable than Curry's / Argos / Very etc.
 
Had a weird issue where it kept telling my phone number was incorrect... then would not let me enter a new number? Never had that before.
I was doing in-store pickup but had to fill out details for somebody else to pick up to get it to through.

Sweating over!
Same here using the App, it would not recognise my mobile number

Honestly, every bloomin year!

Does anyone know if we can buy AppleCare+ with apple account credit yet?

I'm not talking about buying the iPhone and AppleCare+ on the store app, I'm talking about post iPhone purchase and adding AppleCare+

Not sure you can, that’s why I decided to add gift cards to my apple account as the total price included applecare

FINALLY got my order completed on EE, they were nice enough to scrap my early upgrade fee, saving me an eye watering £600 I thought I was going to have to pay.

I did an upgrade via EE for 14 pro black 128gb. They took £100 upgrade fee and got an email however it errored right at the end. I couldn’t add my discount perk code and time was getting on so I ordered one via apple for Friday. In the mean time I rang EE and they had nothing in the system for my upgrade. He did it over the phone and added my discount and said he would refund the £100 back to me. Now I have an email from them saying it’s confirmed. But now I can’t cancel my apple order. Damn it. Anyone in Nottingham area need a 14 pro 128gb black on launch day?

you need to update payment details. Check with your bank if they have blocked it. The same happened to me with the payment. Emails were correct.
 
I had the same issue here where the phone number was showing up as "Red" - I had to keep entering it but it still wouldn't pass that error. In the end I had to choose pickup and it went through.

First time I've had an issue pre-ordering via the app - Couldn't use the website either as that wasn't working fully.
yep same here, absolute joke. worst pre order ever.

Right, tried a few different cards with different banks, and just get a 'Something Went Wrong' from Apple. Probably end up with money taken from all the accounts next! :D

This is a farce...can't complete pre pre order in the app, no pre pre order showing on the web, can't connect to chat, can't connect by phone. Literally no way of making an order or contacting Apple :(
