Smoothest preorder for me completed 13:01 feel for the ones having issues ordering 😡
Just spoke very nicely to the person on the phone, even they thought £600 was a shocking amount to upgrade
saw it when looking at order history... its just their systems playing up...View attachment 2054927
How's everyone else doing? I'm glad I wasn't ordering a new iPhone this year with all the issues. I'm not as bothered whether my AirPods Pro get here on launch day vs. a new iPhone!
Guessing you have to send the phone back to them for this to work?
might be one to keep looking for throughout the year and buy in advance!Yeah Apple have pulled all the discounts, I remember last Xmas Tesco were doing 15% off and i bought about £200 worth for my monthly Apple subs.
also now you can uses iTunes vouchers for hardware (I did get that right?) these deals might pop up more frequently!Yeah Apple have pulled all the discounts, I remember last Xmas Tesco were doing 15% off and i bought about £200 worth for my monthly Apple subs.
They’ll make further attempts to take paymentsSo once an order declined, does it keep the original delivery date?
do you mean card blocked? or declined by Barclays? if the latter, then I'm not sure it doesSo once an order declined, does it keep the original delivery date?
Yeh the payment was taken nearly an hour later after I spoke to the bank, now showing as payment taken and its pending. Delivery date has slipped to Oct, mind still says 16th Sept. I hope it has not slipped? They’ll make further attempts to take payments
I just got this email so farIs there "We're processing your order" a confirmation email?
Mine is delivery, they just took the money (HSBC via apple pay) but it was a little while after the order.Anyone who's paid on Apple Pay not even have the transaction for the phone showing as pending yet?
Also in store pick up - can't remember if based on past experience they take the money at point of pick up with it being in store....then again they have taken money for my case already
I had a horrendous experience with Natwest last year so avoided them this year. Every time Apple tried billing the card Natwest kept declining it but would refuse to admit that they were - went on all over the weekend. Ended up having to ring Apple and change to a different cardWell that was a nightmare with Natwest although the preorder was all approved it was declined when I placed the order.
After some frantic moving of money around I got on the phone to Apple and they were great and changed it to the new account and it's all gone through now.
Still got same delivery dates so happy.
The problem with payment processing is its not as simple as "natwest declined" of course. Even HSBC use a payment service provider (world pay i think?) who sometimes block it on their behalf and only if you get the right person at the bank who knows where to check on the system, can they find the block.I had a horrendous experience with Natwest last year so avoided them this year. Yep I have 2 phones coming now can’t cancel my apple oneyou joke, but it happens every year when someone ends up with 2 phones ordered!
I had the same gift card balance tagged as part payment on all my 3 pre orders but when I checked out on 2nd and 3rd I removed it so there wouldn't be any issues.Plot thickens.
the outstanding balance (after same gift cards inadvertently used) taken and both orders changed to payment taken/processing.....
usually in a few hours you'll be able to amend apple ordersYep I have 2 phones coming now can’t cancel my apple one
Sod Barclays declined me as well (weird as last 2 years each year approved it) even though I have their premier bank account - what a joke clearly means nothing! I ordered through Very who happily gave a 4k limit on account openingIs anyone else having problem getting credit with Barclays at the Apple store? I couldn't get it last year either. My credit score is 999, I'm a homeowner, virtually no debt, and I have a professional job with a high income. My credit history is never missing a payment and paying my last 2 Apple store payment plan loans off early. There is no reason whatsoever I'd be declined, yet Barclays are refusing to give me a reason.
Is this a common problem or does Apple/Barclays just hate me for some reason? 🤷🏼♂️
