I’ve now given up on the iPhone upgrade program for this year. I’ll see out the remainder of my current 13 pro upgrade plan instead. Its messed up my trade in with rebuy as my iPhone was due to be collected this Sunday, had to cancel that as no idea what date I’ll get one reserved for now.
Off to buy a Garmin or Suunto watch instead, to go with my AW5 which is still going strong.

Got my order in, and paid via Apple pay, however about 15 mins later I get call from CC company, they had declined the transaction, and wanted me to confirm it was me. After doing that he said my card would work ok now.
After someone else mention about having to re-enter payment details I checked my order, and yes, there is a button to re-enter payment information, however I have been stuck on that for at least 30 mins. I enter my details, and then it goes to a new screen with "payment verification" and a spinning circle in a box, but then nothing happens. I have tried several times and with 2 different cards, but getting nowhere...... Will just have to keep trying, and hope my date of the 16th doesn't slip.
On another note, I went to order an apple case separately as I had a gift voucher to use (a £60 one). Did it on my pc, but after getting right to the end, I got an error page. Waited a while and didn't get email, so ordered again using app on phone, and this time it want through. However a little while later I got 2 emails, both conforming the order, and both for £59 and both using the £60 gift card. Assume at some point 1 will be canceled.

I’ve had the Spigen EZ Fit one delivered today. Comes with a tray thing to fit it which seems convenient enough!

@Jinjin I've ordered the Otterbox anti-glare from Apple, it's the most I've ever spent on a screen protector but has a lifetime warranty apparently.
The cheap ones seem to have a crap oleophobic coating that wears off very quickly, hoping this one might be better.

I thought that too, but Barclays are adamant that's NOT the issue 🤷🏼♂️
All they will tell me is that "I don't fulfill their lending criteria", to which I replied, a high income homeowner with a perfect credit history and virtually no debt? They just went quiet and said they can't and don't have to give me a reason 🤷🏼♂️
when did you apply the credit to your account before or after the store went down this morning? I did mine yesterday and added the credit to my pre order so it was already showing that i would only need to pay £350 today.
apple have slipped up this year... I can't imagine there being a massive amount of unexpected demand they've not had previously!
in regards to your phone date... I'm pretty sure they'll keep it until you get to verify payment... you could call them to do it too I assume
Well, after all that frustration, invalid phone numbers, slipping delivery dates etc. I've manged to get an order submitted 1 hour 45 mins after the ordering opened, for pick up on the morning of the 16th September at my local store (UK) !
EZ Fit for me again had it on my 12PM for 20 months and gave 2nd one away, got one fitted on my XR also

Count me in that crowd. Never had any issues during the last 5 years and managed to get my wifes pre-order through for 16th Sep. However, when it came to mine, different story. Final step of my pre-order (which was partially done on 7th September) and I kept having issues with my telephone number and hitting save - I kept getting an error. Tried another dozen times and still the same. Completed the order online and dates slipped from 16h September to 3rd - 10th October but had to complete another Barclays Partner Finance application (which was approved). However, I am going to email the Apple UK MD to have the first hard search removed as I could could not complete that pre-order due to a system error on Apple's side. Complete shambles this year!
Thanks for responding! I am just at a loss of what to do now 🤷🏼♂️ I need a new phone, like many people I don't have £1500 in cash to drop on a new phone, but can easily afford the monthly payment several times over. Frustrating.
Also had this issue, error was still at top of screen but order went through with Apple Pay. This was in website as app wouldn’t work for me.
