FINALLY got my order completed on EE, they were nice enough to scrap my early upgrade fee, saving me an eye watering £600 I thought I was going to have to pay.

iPhone 14 Pro Max
Deep Purple
1024GB

Unlimited everything for £73 a month.

Very happy now! Roll on DPD updates!
That’s a cracking deal. Did you not have to pay an upfront fee? On the site it was £330 upfront and £98 a month.

The problem with payment processing is its not as simple as "natwest declined" of course. Even HSBC use a payment service provider (world pay i think?) who sometimes block it on their behalf and only if you get the right person at the bank who knows where to check on the system, can they find the block.
It ended up being a block Natwest have on Apple Pay transactions over a certain value (they just wouldn't admit it)

Trying on the Apple Store app for half an hour going round and round in circles.
Setting times to pick from Lakeside but kept getting errors. Then all the Lakeside times were gone so I then tried Regents St…same thing. Started with Covent Garden same thing.
Went on the website and my order went straight through, although I did do a Regents St pick up it then said item only available for delivery on October the 3rd….absolute **** show!

Not sure if I’m gonna get my phone before my Music Magpie sending in deadline.
Are you getting another pro (noting your signature...) or going to a pro max? I ask because pro max all options seem to be oct 3rd, but for pro, some options (colour/memory) are showing sept 19th to me.

Is anyone else having problem getting credit with Barclays at the Apple store? I couldn't get it last year either. My credit score is 999, I'm a homeowner, virtually no debt, and I have a professional job with a high income. My credit history is never missing a payment and paying my last 2 Apple store payment plan loans off early. There is no reason whatsoever I'd be declined, yet Barclays are refusing to give me a reason.

Is this a common problem or does Apple/Barclays just hate me for some reason? 🤷🏼‍♂️
check your address and details.

it usually means they cant match your details with credit agencies

it could just stupid formatting of your address in different address lines

Does anybody know if i'm able to get out of an 'upgrade anytime' plan with EE, one year in? I feel like the Apple financing would be cheaper with a sim only EE plan than what EE are offering for the iPhone 14 Pro Max upgrade plans... what is the penalty? Happy to send back the phone.

Gift cards might be the way going forward, once they loaded you only have to worry about any smaller amounts on a debit/credit card. I only had to pay £350 with Amex and that went through with no flagging
But the balance showed as in credit and available in App Store but didn’t appear immediately on my account for Apple Store usage.

Got 3-10 oct for iPhone 14 pro space black .. I preordered at 2pm. Couldn’t preorder at 1 since I was driving. 🫡

Has anyone, who had a pre-authorisation set up and ready to go on Apple with Barclays Finance manage to complete their order??

Sorry to hear. HSBC are the other way around with me, they'll let large things through (yay) even a hotel bill in Minsk a few years ago (genuine - i was there on business). Then I'll go home and try to shop at the sainsburys ive shopped at for 20 years, and they'll decline that payment :(

Yeah similar here. Credit scores all near max, no debt apart from 2 monthly payments left on my previous iPhone with Barclays, professional, never missed a payment, over 10 years at current address, never been declined for credit before. I even have a large unused credit limit on my Barclaycard so it's not like they don't know me. Weird.

Bonkers isn't it! I used my Starling account this year with Apple Pay and they've taken the money already to no drama's thankfully!

Shipping dates for 256GB models in Deep Purple, Space Black and Silver have slipped to October already. Didn’t check Gold.

Sorry if this has been posted already, I just didn’t have the time to catch up.

Vodafone inform me I can't upgrade until the 29th, as I changed tariff on SIM only earlier in the year. Ah well, can wait. Might just order a watch to keep me occupied, managed to offload my Series 7 to Music Magpie for £200.
