Who will Apple be delivering with?

In my personal experience, "high-value" items have always come to me via DPD. I've had cases and other accessories/cables come via DHL/UKMail, UPS, Royal Mail and DPD before.

But come delivery day, you'll find it varies between DPD and DHL/UKMail - most probably to balance out the high volume of shipments, but might be down to regional coverage too. DPD is the best though.

View attachment 2055108Ok .. so eventually the order went through then when I clicked on it to check it tells me payment problem (Apple Pay Card has a lower credit limit than the cost of the phone!) ... so now attempting to push through new payment method and, although I’ve approved it three times already on bank app the apple verification page is completely stuck! .. so frustrating!
I had EXACTLY this, with three different cards. One went through eventually, Lloyds, Barclays just refused to work. Once it goes through you may sit on 'awaiting payment' for a few hours though, mine still is.

Yeah .. it’s not even getting to that place! .. I did manage to get hold of someone on Apple chat and they said that if I leave it until tomorrow my order will still be fine so I’m trying to chill and just try again in the morning! ..

Yeah give it a go this evening. I'm pretty sure that you have a couple of days at least to sort the payment without the order being cancelled or you losing your delivery date.

By far and away the worst launch experience ever. I'm now looking at a 3-4 week wait because of that shipping page error on the app. I'll now lose out on my Music Magpie offer for my current phone, so this will end up costing me money instead of saving compared to my usual iPhone Upgrade Program. Serves me right for trying to be thrifty.
Did you have the price saved or ordered? If saved, apparently you can add the saved price to your basket and then save it again at the same price. HOWEVER I must stress I haven't fact checked this so don't shoot me if it's wrong!

the orange?
Just got mine delivered that’s going back to the store Friday, not even gonna bother opening it

Thanks for responding! I am just at a loss of what to do now 🤷🏼‍♂️ I need a new phone, like many people I don't have £1500 in cash to drop on a new phone, but can easily afford the monthly payment several times over. Frustrating.
It is frustrating. It’s missing out on the additional free months of services (TV+, News etc) which annoys me the most. Having missed early delivery with Apple I’ve tried placing an order with Amazon, said available 16 Sept but actual delivery date now says to be confirmed. They also let you pay in 5 equal monthly instalments using your usual payment method (a cashback AmEx for me) which might help smooth it for you.

EE Sorted
£30 Upgrade fee
£92
- EE Discount 20%
New Monthly
£73.6

Total Yearly Cost: £913.20 this includes 1 year Apple Music with Smart benefit which would normally cost £120

iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Gold

Upgrading yearly is definitely cheaper to go with EE
I’m basically paying the same but with phone from apple and sim only with EE, also including Apple Music. I don’t have a 20% discount code either so if I did then overall the sim only route would be a bit cheaper

Hey now. I managed to reserve a slot in Glasgow Braehead store for Friday 16th, however i am actually travelling to Germany. How do i change the pick up to the Tuesday, maybe even Monday evening?

Its not the same you paid £xxxx for an iPhone. I'm paying around £913.20 for the year including iPhone.

Note this is a 24 month contract but I look at it yearly because I upgrade every year.

I’ve literally just placed a new order for 14 pro with pickup at 12:45 launch day with 24 month interest free and old device trade in from Apple Store Meadowhall. There were no pickup slots within 100miles up until 10 minutes ago so something must have been updated in the system.

If you haven’t managed to order yet I’d give it another go.

when did you apply the credit to your account before or after the store went down this morning? I did mine yesterday and added the credit to my pre order so it was already showing that i would only need to pay £350 today.
I did it this morning after the store went down. Didn’t manage to do the pre-pre order. Might explain the lag.

Ordering was a nightmare for me; I never managed to turn my pre-pre-order into an accepted pre-order. I did at least get a new order in for a Sep 16 iPhone Pro Max but I had to get a 128GB instead of a 256GB to get a day one pickup (no way could I get a Sep 16 delivery by the time I had my order accepted).

I'm sort of OK with the 128GB, I'm using <80GB on my current phone, but I did want extra headroom since at some point I plan to switch from 128kbs to 256kbs AAC for my local music and that will use up pretty much all of my headroom. If they have any stock of 256GB at the store where I'm doing my pickup I'll definitely upgrade but with my local pickup slot scheduled for 14:00 I'm not at all optimistic unless they release any extra store stock gradually throughout the day.

Next year I don't think the same compromise on memory size will be a workable option for me so I really hope the ordering process is smoother, or even better that 256GB does finally become the entry level.

Was relatively easy for me. Took a while to get in but have a pro max reserved for Cambridge. Normally do Norwich each year but it said it wasn’t available there. I’m half way between each so it’s not a problem. Ordered a Watch Ultra via EE, took half an hour to get in, was confirmed for the 23rd but by the time it had all gone through it was on back order.

Ordered my base 14 Pro from Very. Delivery showed 16/09 but the confirmation email is showing 19/09, so we shall see. I'm going to trade my 11 Pro in to Mazuma I think, currently quoting £265.
My order from Very is showing as by 19/09 too. My order from last year showed as by 24/09 so it does look like it's slipped. I had my confirmation email through at 13:01 so I'd be very (see what I did there?) surprised if it didn't get here on launch day...
