Even if I had managed to reserve one I wouldn’t have managed to get to Victoria Sq today . Got my JL order arriving tomorrow but it’s 50/50 if I will be in or not. Without doubt this has been the most awkward year to get an iPhone!

If you read through this thread someone complained to Tim Cook and one of his team admitted it was highly flawed this year.

Really ? 🙂 ..... do you honestly believe everything you read on macrumors ? Do you honestly believe that a worldwide distribution of millions of devices over a relatively short time is flawed simply because a few people can’t get what they want ? ....

These threads are a constant source of amusement of people throwing their toys around and describing things as ‘flawed’ ‘unfair’ ‘disgraceful’ and a thousand other descriptions for one simple reason that they can’t get their device when they want it 🙂

All setup loving the SG! Screen is gorgeous. Face ID is good, think I’d prefer Touch ID but sure.

Face ID is good, think I’d prefer Touch ID but sure.

Give FaceID time. I've been pleasantly surprised by it and like it a lot.

It would be good though to have under-screen Touch ID as well.

Release day - confirmed at 8.30am
I had a higher dispatch window
But it settled at 24th - 1st

Face ID rocks. So much better than clunky old Touch ID. Plus it’s fun to find ways to make it fail, e.g. wearing a hat, pulling a face, draping a dishcloth over your head. (Only one of those resulted in me not being recognised. This thing is good.)
