That's crazy. :mad: I ordered mine, same model and colour as yours, much later in the day and it's just been shipped.

I did think I might get lucky because I chose the most expensive model. But definitely those who ordered before me should be getting their orders dispatched first.

Amazon really are the best when it comes to this kind of thing.

I would give it to at least 2PM, after that i would start getting worried. It's very likely that it is not going a long way.

Yeah i live in Northern Ireland thats possibly why there is a slight delay to the rest of the mainland. However, whenever i posted my last post i couldn't track it as it hadn't updated but now i can and on the tracking page it now says anticpated delivery for the 14th!! Fingers Crossed!!

I wouldn't normally be so anxious but i head off for two weeks with work and i would love to have it for my trip. Plus i also shattered my screen yesterday on my iphone 4!! Disaster!!

Good luck with yours. I reckon you will be fine for delivery tomorrow in London.

Ordering multiple items on a launch day is always risky. Only due to the fact that they merge them in transit, so one order might sit waiting for the other.
 
My order status is still preparing for dispatch.

I'm not worried though; if the phones are already in the UK any time up to the early hours of tomorrow morning could mean a delivery on Friday.

Uhm, How exactly are you working this out? lol

As long as it's shipped before 3PM today it should arrive for tomorrow fine, if I can walk down my local post office and ship something out at 2:50 and it arrives anywhere in Britain I'm sure Apple can manage it with a private courier.

Ordered the 16GB White 4S at about 9:15am on launch day. My status is at
'Preparing for Shipment Ships: Ships by October 14th

The money hasn't been taking out my bank yet. I like how it says I can't cancel it when I could go lift all the money out my bank and they wouldn't be able to get at any money.
 
I didn't pre-order an iPhone as I initially didn't want one but now I do :/

Obviously I'm going to have to get to the Apple store early tomorrow morning but what time are talking about here? I live in Manchester btw.
 
Mine still says preparing for shipment :'( ordered 32gb black about 10 mins after store opened.

they will have put a hold on the money just not taken it yet. it won't let you take it out.

I'm in central London too, not in the middle of nowhere. But I'm starting to think this is all very random indeed.
 
Its probably the case that most if not all of the pre-orders with despatch/delivery date of the 14th have been sent but they do have to update everyones order and send out emails
I ordered a white 16gb about 2 mins after site went live and got confirmation at 9.22am and mines is still preparing for shipment
I reckon most people will get them tomorrow

Yep I ordered at about 5:44pm last Friday. I was hoping to get mine sometime next week, I definitely wasn't expecting a dispatch notification this morning.

I think we can see why they have been putting the vague "ships by" notice on all orders. They haven't got a clue how to process shipments in the order they were received, so they can't make any bold promises to even those who ordered the moment the store went live. They've probably pooled together a huge batch of orders received before a pre-determined cutoff time, and now are just working to process them randomly throughout the day.

Those in Australia who didn't get dispatch confirmation early in the day yesterday, are starting to get shipping confirmations late in the evening now estimating delivery for the 18th next week. I would be very annoyed if I spent hours trying to get my pre-order in the moment the site went live, but had to wait several days longer than others who cruised on in hours later to place their pre-orders.

Isn't the Post Office before 1pm for guaranteed next day delivery? Hopefully Apple's private couriers can do better than that, though. One would hope.

Didn't someone in a previous post say theirs has only just been shipped and his/her delivery date is Monday 17th?
 
There are places on the net in the UK where I can purchase something at 11pm and have it delivered at 7am the following morning as standard.

I really wouldn't worry, yet, folks.
 
Guys chill !

If you order from eBuyer, you can order up to 11pm on the 10th for example, they dispatch it between about 11pm on the 10th and 1am on the 11, and it still gets there for the 11th.

So yeah, next day delivery if you order before 11pm... i don't think you guys should be worrying by 9:45am :p

Not worried just concerned. Got shipping notice much earlier with iPhone 4.

I'm in Richmond and my Black 64GB changed to shipped just after 9am.

I'm hopeful i'll get mine tomorrow, but for us NI folks, will probably be +1 day if it is being shipped from England.

Dunno you might get yours first. Apple has a massive depot in Cork.
