UK iPhone 4S thread.

Nope, they're not from China. Quite a few people have had tracking locations from the UK. Here is my tracking:

Mine was one of the first to change to 'preparing for shipment, but it hasn't shipped, don't think I'm getting it by tomorrow

i ordered pretty much as store came up too .. 16gb white.. and its still "preparing for shipment..."

i'm still hoping that it updates to "shipped" later on today to be received tomorrow..

i'm gonna dtop reading this thread and stop refreshing apple order status now.. !
 
OK, here's some info that a lot of people are missing*

If you've ordered from Apple:

Apple statuses tend not to get updated realtime. I've had stuff delivered to me from Apple while it's still showing as 'Prepared for Shipment'. Just because your order still says one thing (e.g. processing), it doesn't necessarily mean it hasn't moved on to the next stage for anything up to 24hrs.

I'd expect status to keep changing to shipping throughout today. Lots of people's won't change till tonight and they won't get their despatch emails until around midnight or the early hours of the morning, but they'll still get delivery tomorrow.

Even though Synchreon (or whatever they're called) are showing as the courier on orders so far, the actual deliveries will probably be split between the big couriers to ease the load (don't know if this is just the main courier sub-contracting). I have had stuff showing as Synchreon before which has been delivered by DHL/UPS etc

Apple tend to be reliable, if their pre-orders are going to be delivered tomorrow (and it looks like they are), then unless they've told you of any delay, yours should be on the van. But then it comes down to the courier, sometimes on busy days they just run out of time. Sometimes they'll carry on delivering into the night, but in many cases this depends on the individual driver - some will just reach the end of their shift and go back to the depot never mind how many deliveries they've got left. However, even on a normal day most couriers deliver up till 6 or 7pm. Remember though that if you don't get a Friday delivery, don't expect it till Monday at the earliest!

Tomorrow will be even more frustrating than today - all morning this thread will be full of "Woooo! Mine just arrived" with no mention about whether it was an order from Apple, CPW, Orange etc or what colour/size and whether they ordered anything else. And it's no good asking because they'll have gone off to play with their new toy!

I don't know any of the above for a fact, just basing it on all my (and other's) previous Apple pre-order adventures.

*Sorry, it's sometimes a bit rude to go big and bold, but I didn't want to get lost in all the "mine's still processing" posts.

Im the same!! its only 10:20am they have all day to ship them :D

Got shipment confirmation email. Looks like mine is coming from cork, using Syncreon Technology UK Limited. Website is pants..... my god.

looks like i'm getting mine on Monday :(

"Please see the details of the shipment below.
Your Delivery Reference Number is 8171654xxxx.
We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 17/10/2011. " :(!!!

I'm going to assume mine hasn't shipped yet as the money hasn't been taken out of my bank..

Mine still says 'Prepared for Shipment' even though I'm pretty mine was one of the first to say so on the thread.

I'm not worrying too much, hopefully it'll have shipped before 1pm because I see a lot of yours have shipped and even a lot of you are in the same boat as me!

When tracking:

Tracking Number in first box
Additional Order Number in second box

This right?
 
Mines is still preparing for shipping but I'm not going to get too worried.

Last year with my iPad the Apple site still said it was preparing for shipment 2 days AFTER I got it delivers :eek:

Yeah, i suspect the server admin at Syncreon is not having a good day :p

I just imagine him looking through the stats:

"Monday 10th...1200 hits, okay"
"Tuesday 11th...1050 hits, uhm sounds about right"
"Wednesday 12th 2300 hits, fairly busy today *installs a few more servers*"
"Thursday 13th 97380 hits, WTF, HALPPPP"

Was just about to say something in the same vein.
Judging by how problematic the servers have been with the ordering in the first place, the ios5 update, and now Syncreon's tracking page, just because the online status of an order hasn't changed, it doesn't mean that things aren't in motion.

No point in stressing about something you can do bugger all about.
I know it's frustrating (especially for those who've taken the day off work) and annoying, but none of us can make the phone physically arrive quicker than it's going to.

And no, mine hasn't shipped yet either! :/
